Oh, and the vague neat western look that became popular back then. All with big hair. Air chisel is a good choice. I was thinking more like C4.

Uh Huh, I knew this would happen, even tried to go gentle with the first couple pieces. Stickin' new board in won't be that hard because the new backsplash will cover it. As long as it's flat - no mud sanding.

Matthew The removed one was 6, the std. premade granite ones are 6 but I want to do 8" in tile. Replacing the damaged drywall will be easy, just snap a 6 in. piece, hold it over the damages to mark, pull the olld and tack in the new.
