Looks like we dodged another bullet here in SoFlo. Temps dropped to just above freezing with the wind chill effect. Can't say the same for anyplace north of me. The rest of the state was pretty well into freeze. Many think of Florida as a tourist destination but it is also a winter food crop production state as well as having a huge citrus industry. Freezes can have a national impact on food prices. I was looking over the fruits in produce yesterday. Prices are up, it's off season so grapes, mellons, peaches are up in price anyway and the size of the fruit presented is small. Strawberries will start coming in now. There already selling buy one get one free. I'm a stickler when it comes to price. If it's full escalated price, I can't buy it. I'm one of those that just hates to pay retail. Let me see if I can find any coupons .......

Business as usual here. Its so dang cold I have had little interest or energy in working in the garage. I have lots to do, to get prepared for the engine and transmission coming home. I crawled underneath the other day and I should be down there with rags and cleaner, doing some major clean-up. Its easy to do now that the tranny and C-Beam are out. I also want to put some heat shielding in the tunnel too. Oh well... I can dream.

I hope you have a great day!

Hidey-ho! It has snowed her 33 out of the last 42 days. Supposedly we're going back into the deep freeze next week with highs around 0. Balmy. On the bright side, Minneapolis is #1:

Cold, windy, dark, snowy, hard to get going! I hear you Don, it's no fun when you have to be wearing insulated coveralls when crawling around under your car. I don't have much for garage heat except some space heaters.

Today I have to work! I am hoping Tommy does NOT put up a music vid fest today. If he does I will have to use self control and that is tough for me. I enjoy listening to all those old songs and waste a lot of my work day.

Brad, Um congrats on hmmmm, being #1, I think. How do they know such things? It there like a playoff system in place?

Matt hows your kids doing? Better I hope. Time to go make the living. Stay warm if you are in Big 10 Country!

LOL. I can't do it everyday either. Once or twice a week at best. It is very time consuming.

These writers must have never roamed thru San Francisco.

We're having a typical winter, haven't seen snow in two weeks. 51 degrees yesterday and sunny, grilled burgers out on the deck for lunch.

Let me just say

So far, the cold and snow here have been anything but typical.
Fortunately I had planned on spending much of the winter in the garage anyway.

The gayness list continues. I live down south in the redneck mecca. Not a big issue here but they're close. Key West is also flame broiled.

Good Morning CGs!

Well the wifey is at work today so I have the kids. MIL was supposed to have them so I could get some work done, but she came down with a terrible flu and it confined to the bed.

Samantha is doing better today. Two nights ago she was coughing so hard she was vomiting in her bed. Not too pleasant. But it seemed to loosen and clear out all of the nasty phlegm and whatever else was trapped in there. Still a little cough today, but nothing as bad as before. And her fever seems to be gone.

As far as me, not sleeping two nights then working really threw me a beat down. I was like a zombie since about 5 last night. Rugrat #2 wanted to be up at 3:30 this morning for an hour, so that means daddy was up, too. Then he woke up at 6:50 to eat...such is life.

Maybe I'll get a little more finished on the drywall for my closet project. After that I need to finish the shelves and I can start using it. Another week....maybe!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Got the fog lights wired up in the Jeep. REAL bright. Now, all I need to do is find my soldering iron. I simply crimped everything for now.
