It looks a little hammy, but I'd go see it. I sneek in a couple of beers, too.

Once upon a time, I was headed to the Drive In with my buddy. While in line with all the cars to get in, he says to me "I got no money, I'll get in the trunk, you drive in."

I was 14, "Who me?, WTF. you're getting in the trunk in front of all these people???"
He did, I was scared shitless, made it past the ticket guy.

And lived happily ever after.

Ya, the drive-in. The chicks, the booze, the drugs. In our car we reviewed our catechism lessons and discussed how the sinners in the other cars were ruining their lives.

I was wondering if Bill was starring in that movie?

Drive-Ins... What a blast from the past! If I thought it would do well financially, I'd open one up! What fun that would be.

We do still have one left near Baltimore which is a reasonable drive for me. It is the last remaining Drive-In in Maryland, so some of the younger people will have an opportunity to check it out if they have the desire. However, I would guess they would think it is weird or something that old people used to do.

I was lucky in that I was probably at the tail end of the drive-in era and was able to experience the "steamy" nights at the drive-in before their demise in the 70s/80s. We also did the group thing too! Lots of fun back then.

They need to print it... there is a drive in out in Glendale that does car themed movie nights.

The movie looks watchable, I wish them luck.

Well which is it?

I just dug up this thread because I thought it was for the movie "Drive" that just came out.

That movie was sooo bad I was sure this cheesefest was what I remembered.

Good for a laugh, anyway.

And Bill, yes, you can drive any of my cars as long as it's a sweet chase scene and I get to drive your purple one in pursuit.

Have 2 drive-ins in San Diego that are open regularly. I've been a dozen or so times. Unfortunately the Chinese radio in my 69 Chevy won't pick up the station from one of the screens.

If you think they are dead, check first, hate to have another drive-in go out of business because nobody knows they are still in business.
