DJxib and I took our cars to the local 1/8th dragstrip today. Elevation of 700 ft and temp about 70*F, but I don;t know what that means in DA. Andy's new supercharged vette is awesome and once he figured out how to run it he ran fast, very fast for street tires, but I will let him tell you the details.

My last run of the day was my best. 1.96 sixty foot,
8.16 ET, and 92.78 mph. Considering with the LT1 I was runnning 2.2 sixty foot and normally 8.66 ETs.

I am very happy and we had a great time.

I'm happy for you. I have visions of hitting the 1/8th again. Maybe in the New Year. I hope everything will settle down by then.

Nice numbers. A little dragstrip time sure adds adds a lot to the enjoyment of Corvette ownership.

Yes indeed I had a blast! First time on a 1/8 track (previously only ran 1/4 mile) - and I realize that I normally use power in the last half of the 1/4 mile to make up for sucky driving in the 1/8.

At the 1/8 yesterday with a stick I really had to knuckle down, plus the new motor and Spec 3+ clutch makes for a different launch experience..

Andy (95Vette) - your new motor is awesome, very impressive times for what is supposed to be a LT4 with hotcam.. I think you got much more than that. Congrats!

Overall I'm very happy with mine - still have it set to 5000RPM to limit the boost so I bounced off the rev limiter all day. Overall my best time was 8.201 @ 94.83 with a 2.001 60ft which I am very happy with.

The builder says I can open up the rev limiter at around 2000 miles - so I'm looking forwards to the spring!

When Andy ran the 8.2 I was ahead and in the right lane. I looked in my mirror and he was in my blind spot, but an instant later I saw his bumper out my window. I could hear his supercharger roaring, then I saw his hood, then his door and before I knew it I was checking his brake lights for him. When he turns up the rev limiter and the boost all I will see will be the back of his car.

Andy, after they ran the bracket races the track was really sticky and the air had cooled maybe 5 degrees. I am glad I hung around and made one last run.

Both of you have good MPH.

The 1/8th mile is a heart breaker for street cars because it's all about getting the car launched and down the track.

I know you guys are in GA.... which track?
