Don't even ask me why I'm up this early....
We're in the middle of three straight days of rain here. The vette is all clean and covered it was supposed to be beautiful weather today through Friday and I'd planned to get it out a while.
Growl... I guess it's stay in and do housework day

The oily boyd catches the woym.

I'm up, late for me. Stayed up past midnight messing with Chistmas stuff. We're pretty much done. Being the first Christmas in the house i went all out. Already, I'm thinking that next year I'll return to my traditional 8 minute set up and tear down. Might as well enjoy this one and take plenty of pics. Could well be the last of the big hurrahs.

I got up at 0600 and took the Vette into Annapolis this morning at. There was supposed to be another cruise-in there at the harbor on Sunday mornings. I was either too early when I arrived at 7:30 or they are not doing it any more. So I took all the twisty back roads home and enjoyed this last bit of nice weather before old man winter comes rolling back in.

I'm hoping to be able to keep up with you guys, but the work thing has really took a bite out of my daytime goof-off periods. None of those available at the new job. So I'll have to keep up in the evenings when I'm not dead or on weekends like this where I have some down time to twiddle.

Have a great day

Good morning! While not at the crack of dawn like you guys, I'm up earlier than usual. The gas company had left us a message the other day, rescheduling our furnace tune-up for sometime between 8AM and 4PM today. That narrows it right down. I would imagine that since I got up early, they should be arriving sometime around 4PM. Meanwhile, back to Christmas decorations.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

Good Morning CGs!

As I look outside it's damp and skies are menacing. Rained most of the night, I'm assuming it will be more of the same today.

Took a look at the bedroom and the second coats of paint went on nice. Today I'll reinstall the switch plates, etc, and move everything back in. I left the fan on overnight, doesn't seem to be a paint smell so #1 should be able to sleep in there tonight.

Other than that....???

Hope everyone has a great day!

When we moved into our house the master bedroom was painted pumpkin orange. It was just horrible. It took us at least three coats of Kilz to cover the orange before we could paint the light blue it is today.

I slept in - 6:30.

F1 race coming on in a half hour.

Then play with Corvettes or drive one, the weather's been grand.

We have the program with the gas company where all your appliances are covered and the annual furnace tune-up is part of the deal. Probably ain't rocket science, but I am getting lazy and don't want to have to explain to the Mrs. why the furnace isn't working.

That's a pretty good idea. If I had annual furnace check ups, the drain valve never would have gotten clogged and dumped water into the blower motor. Now I do inspect it regularly myself. Which, now that you mention it, is about time.

She hasn't seen it yet. She slept at grandma's last night. She'll be happy tonight.

And I know you "do" for your family, just like me, just like all of us on this board. Just the way we are.

How did the clean up at the other houses go?

Oddly, my son never asks to borrow anything. The boat, the cars, nothing. The rule is you have to be able to fix whatever you f@(k up. So nobody ever asks to borrow anything of ours. My nephew asked once and my wife said; Can you afford to replace it? The answer was No! So was ours.

Funny, I saw a commercial for Dollar Loan Center, good lookin women getting handfuls of money. Big note on the screen " $200 for a week will only cost you $7.64."

Had the remote in my hand and hit "freeze" when the lawyer crap came up, ya know, the fine print they have to legally put up but flashes so fast that you can't read it.

"This assumes 31 payments of $16.57 bi-weekly, 197%apr

So, $200 costs you $513.67.

Kinda like an honest car salesman, huh?

Evening guys.....I've had a long day. Up early and went to church. Got back and loaded up the pickup for the trip home. Stopped at the other daughters house to say good bye to the grands and off we went on the 7 hour drive (with stops). Stopped and picked up a few groceries and on home. Since we've been home, I've unloaded the pickup, went out and put tools away in the shop and finished putting up the Christmas decorations. Looking forward to hitting the sack tonight.

Matt the room looks great. Bill, I've always wondered about those "loans", highway robbery. Marcus, I think it was the Italian food we ate last night.....

It was cloudy, cold and windy when we left KC, but by the time we got to Junction City (Fort Riley, Home of the Big Red One), the clouds broke, and the temps started going up (it was still windy though). Made it up to 54 on the way home and the wind went down some.

I'll check in, in the morning.
