OK, way off topic here and I don't know if it has ever been asked here or not but here goes.

What do you like to read in your spare time ?

As for me, I am a huge Clive Cussler fan. I read all 5 of his series. I also like the Jack Reacher books by Lee Child. I have Steven King's newest one 11.22.63 lined up to go as well. Toss in some good Sci-Fi or fantasy and I always have something to read.

So, how about you ? What do you read ?

More of the Tom Clancy, Dale Brown type - generally called a techno-mystery. Of course Tom Clancy got rich, quit writing anything good, and thinks he is some kind of rock star now.

Not much of a book reader.
I get a half dozen mags, an occasional newspaper and read about every subject I need to google. Read story lines I care about in the news boxes. Keeps me busy enough.

John Sandford - all the "Prey" novels, John Grisham, Dean Koontz, Kay Hooper, Stephen Hunter, Tom Clancy, etc. Always looking for recommendations for other authors I haven't yet discovered. Mysteries, spy stories, historical fiction, military...???

Andy, I used to read Dale Brown and Stephen Coonts for military / techno thrillers. I need to try Clancy and W.E.B. Griffin sometime.

Raymond Feist

I got bored with Dale B. after a while and Clancey fell way off.

Start with Clancy's "Hunt for Red October". I need a new book for my Nook, think I will see what Coonts has written that I haven't already perused.

magazines, mostly. History and non-fiction. The last book I read was called "The Swamp" and it's the story on how the FL Everglades have been raped by the ignorance of man. Good read.

The rest, mags... car mags from the US and UK mostly.

A Short Neurological Test

1- Find the C below..
Please do not use any cursor help.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

2- If you already found the C, now find the 6 below..

99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999
99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

3 - Now find the N below. It's a little more difficult.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMNMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

This is NOT a joke. If you were able to pass these 3 tests, you can cancel your annual visit to your neurologist. Your brain is great and you're far from having a close relationship with Alzheimer.

Congratulations!

Tommy.....That stuff is no problem after practacing up by reading Pappy's posts for the last 3 years........

I like science fiction and just got done reading Rainbow Six and love the Jack Reacher books and Clive Cussler. One of the best series ever about the British navy in the early 1800's is the Jack Aubrey and Maturin books by Patrick O'brian. I have read the 20 book series twice I think.

Lots of car mags and I just started The Wrecking Crew a documentary on the 60's music recording scene in California.....Brad had a link to it the other day. Really good book.......All Corvettes are Red was a great read also.......

Tommy, I didn't have a problem with any of that. Took me less than thirty seconds to find the letters/number. Like Marcus said.......

Same here, almost seems like the 'odd' ones stood out almost immediately. Reading the paragraph was easy also. Does that mean I'm strange?
Maybe a goofy blonde thing?
