Good morning.

I sat at the computer last night and read a 47 page pamphlet online with the application for a concealed weapons permit. I filled out the application and got out my DD214 (Honorable Discharge)from the USAF. That is acceptable proof that I have had a weapons training and safety course. Next I have to get my fingerprints taken at a local branch of law enforcement and a passport sized photo. Send it all with a $75 application fee and $42 for a background check. ($117 total) I've decided it's time. I just want to have it in the event I want to carry. It comes up from time to time that I should have a little something with me just in case. My wife wants to use a friend of ours that sells new and used weapons. That'll be OK with me. We can go over his inventory and see what works for us. I've been looking over different hanguns. The more look the more I like a simple revolver. Still undecided on laser targeting. You can target them but they can also trace back to you. I have pretty good aim without a targeting aid so I may just go plain and simple. I hope I'll never need it but it's better to have it and not need it than not have it at all.

Yo! Been busy as hell since I got to the office, hopefully that means the day will pass quickly. The forecast is sunny and 75, so of course it is completely overcast.

Have a good day, everybody!

Good morning gurus.
Good luck TB.

Tommy if I were to get a gun for conceal carry it would be a semi auto. Revolvers are nice but a semi auto is easier to conceal with a holster. Also they carry more ammo. Just a thoutht to think about. But when you go buy it your friend should have some good suggestions.

Thanks Mike. I'm not committed yet (to the firearm) just thinking out loud. Guess I'll know it when we see it. As far as a holster, I wear shorts and t-shirts 95% of the time. Concealing is going to be an issue. At least I'll be able to hide the weapon in the vehicle out of sight and loaded without concern of getting bagged by law enforcement. At home is not an issue. If you were to shoot a bad guy and you have a CWP, for reasons unknown. it's more acceptable. It's like ..... Oh, he shot him. Guess the bad guy didn't know he was licensed to carry. Oh well.
I was looking at a new .45 cal Judge on sale. Reg $499 now $349. 5 round with laser. A little big though. I'll see what my bud has and for what price. I know there will be something here soon. Maybe a nice Fathers Day gift.

You would think, for the families at least, there'd be some type of punishment for those in the system who railroaded him.

Very interessting

I may not even need a concealed weapons permit. Home is not n issue and in a vehicle it must be securely contained. I may want to get one just to make life easy but from what I read, i may not even need it.
