Ya...I'm up early its about 5 am out here and I am getting packed up to head home...got UBoys football game tonight and Wisconsin is coming to visit the Huskers on Saturday. We will see how the season is going to go. For the first time in history the Huskers will be sporting alternative uniforms kinda like you see other teams doing. Nebraska held off on it because we are very tradition oriented and the old crimson and cream is our colors. But in the interest of making a ton of money on jersey sales they relented and we will see a new look when they storm the field Saturday....

Ok...gotta fire up the GS and get rolling...you guys have a good day......

Going up to Jefferson Wisconsin today with our oldest son to a car show/swap meet. They usually have two shows a year and we attend both shows. Looking for parts and love to see the cars for sale. The weather will be perfect for a swap meet--cool and no wind! We'll probably walk a few miles at the swap meet and I'll be sore tomorrow!

Good Morning CGs!

Maybe I can get back in to my routine now that the painting project is done. Last night I hung the valance over the front window as well as a few little accent pieces. I told the wife I need some time to myself today to do my own errands and projects. She seemed irritated? No, just kidding. I think she was a little perplexed, like how could I have my own stuff to do on my vacation days off from work?. I'd like to tinker with the car, clean up the garage, work out (I've taken the last 3 days off), go to HF, etc. She is just flustered because of the birthday party tomorrow and thinks I should stop my whole life to prepare for it. Ummmmm, I did. The past 2 weeks I worked my butt off around the house. That's how I prepare for it. Ugh.

Other than that, I have some ridgid pipe threaders and a pipe vise to sell. 1/2" and 3/4" heads. Anyone interested here before I put them on CL?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

That's why they have these places. Easy peasy. No prep, no clean up, no B.S.. Set a time, 3 hours later; Hugs, nice to see you. Thanks for coming. Honey, I'll put the gifts into the enclosed trailer I brought.

Happy Friday! Another nice day here, hope the work day passes quickly. Quite a dry spell here, we've only had a few sprinkles over the last 40 days.

I think the Huskers' new uniforms are pretty stylish - they should sell like hotcakes:

Beautiful weather, a DNBFS day planned.

Testerday's housecleaning wore me out......mentally.

Headed over to my friends place, the guy with the paint booth. He's building a 37 Ford Pickup with a bit of restomods.

We're going to take his 65 Mustang Restomod out and make sure the newly rebuilt Holly is working good, he's running the car at our next trackday.

Back in the days of the Shah of Iran, Iranians were moving closer to the west. Once the Ayotolah Khumani got his foot in the door with his anti-western, pro Koran ideology, it all went downhill from there. When the U.S had their puppet dictators ruling around the world, we had a much firmer grip on world politics. Now that there are free elections and hardliners have taken over, these countries actually want to go there own way. Life was just so much easier when you could order up a covert-op or bribe high level politicians to mainpulate things our way. War has always been an option when wanting to convert others to your way of thinking. War sucks and thousands of innocent lives are lost but it does change the course of history. It's like when you mess with a big guy and he just sits on your chest and pounds you in the face at will, asking. Do you give up? A good way to clean out soon to be obsolete stockpiles of munitions is to find a target and let them fly. Beats disassembling them and recycling the parts. No ground troops. Air ops, missles and drones . Hit en hard and hit em often. Keep the ground troops ready to deal with those that object.
This has been another extremest opinion brought to you on the spur of the moment.

I stopped over at Gary's to look at the disc brake lathe he got to see if it would work on the '67 rotors.

He's getting ready to shoot the cab on a 37 Ford Pickup build.
The frame's got disc brakes, he's putting a custom Flathead in it.

And his 65 mustang that he's going to run on the racetrack with me in 2 weeks.

Relativity is relative or E=MC squared or E=Zappa times Said squared.

Though this is relevant, most things here are irrelevant.

Hey guys.....it''s been a busy day. Frickin kids were crazy today.I couldn't wait for school to be out for the week. I came home and finished hanging the 5 doors that I had left. 5 hours later I have them done, the rooms cleaned up, the tools put away and I'm dead tired. Tomorrow, we watch the two younger boys play football, the older one at 11am and the other 30 miles away at 2pm. While over watching the younger one I have some work to do...laying on a second coat of sheetrock mud. I think I'll try to get the rest of the chairs stained tomorrow as well.

Glad you got home OK Marcus. Sweet looking vehicles Bill. Glad to hear that you got the painting done Matt, I hope you got some of your stuff done as well. Brad, we got another 1/2" of rain last night, now we are only 11 1/2" behind for the year and 20 1/4" behind the last two years....
