Good Morning CGs!

Went to the back cracker last night for the first time in about 8 weeks. Painting last week made it a little sore. Felt good to put it back in alignment.

Came home and the wife and kids were at the outlaws house so I could get some work done. Got the floors mopped, house cleaned up, etc. Started dumping all the shock in the pool so I can close it this week. Man that water is cold already. Currently have the auto vacuum running. I need to drain a lot of water then the cover can go on.

Still waiting on some parts for the SR so that's not done yet. We'll see how long that takes

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Signs of aging

A kid from the old neighborhood stopped by last night. At the time he came I had a ticket my son got on Saturday in my hand and was going over the comments. I was going to hand it back to my son and when I turned he was somewhere else so I walked around wih the ticket in my hand. I was showing the visitor around the house. At some point I put the copy of the ticket in a secure location to retrieve later. That location is so secure that I can't find that ticket to save my ass. I have looked high and low and through every room and even places I know I didn't put it. I can't find it. It's not like me. I have hundreds of important documents and I can usually find them within a few minutes. It's like I have a blackout of what I did with that damned ticket. To me it's a matter of principle. I was charged with securing a document and did not fulfil my duty. I must find that paper. Today .......... A hunt. Better go take my meds. I already feel a headache coming on.

morning guys....one night of volleyball down one to go. My feet hurt after V-ball last night but my knee worked very well. People even commented on how well I was doing compared to last year. Tonight's a longer night with three matches.

A little cooler today, mid 60's, but really nice fall weather.

Got to get headed, I'll check in later.

Well its time to get off my butt and go try and recreate what we did last year and the years before. I'm not feeling it....a body sitting will tend to want to stay sitting and a body in motion will tend to want to stay in motion....I saw something like that on TV. I'm the sitting one right now. The older I get the harder it seems to get in motion again....but the encentive inducer called fear will soon take over and that will fire me up I'm sure...

It was 10 after 7 when Uwoman left and it was still pitch black out....it is probably snowing in Brads frozen tundra country.....

Are you a line judge at the volley ball games TBee? I did that a couple of times.....it was ok but you had to pay attention sometimes the ball gets to going real fast....

Have a day of wonder and excitement Guru's.....

Howdy! Cool and a little drizzly here, good day to be indoors. I'll be working on getting the Vette ready to put away soon - hard to believe that time of year is here already.

Tommy, make sure your car keys aren't in the fridge ;-)

Heard some sad news this morning: http://www.wxyz.com/dpp/sports/report ... ering-from-kidney-failure

Have a good day, Gurus!

Then to HomeD to buy 100 lbs of sand.

At least I'll be blasting outside today, won't have to vacuum up the shop.

Usually these things are right in front of you and you look at them 3 times before you actually see them.
I been doing that with tools sitting on the work bench.

Now if I could only remember where those C2 bolts went.

I'm starting to get reved up for the weekend at the racetrack.
We have 100+ cars registered already.

Saturday is the normal Time Trials and Performance Driving Experience thing.

Sunday, we're putting on a charity event for the Red Cross.
$50 ridealongs with our licensed instructors.

Scary ridealongs with the Reverend Stig.

Because that sand is mixed with dirt and as much as my favorite saying is "dirty, dirty, dirty" , I need clean C2 specific sand.

Guess if I was in Fl. , I could just run down to the beach but doing work in that humidity would be an ambition killer.

Lost paper update.

This just into the newsroom.

After searching and disqualifying each room and making sure I didn't put it in my helmet, I got a call from my son. Apparrently I gave it back to him and he put it in his wallet pocket. He declined to call me last night thinking I might already be in bed. He just called me now. Of course I expressed my gratitude for the call mentioning he could have called sooner. I can now continue on with my day. My plans? Put stuff back where it goes. File some stuff, shred some stuff and just work on orginizing my stuff. Like I've been doing for longer than I've been on these forums. What can I say? I have a lot of stuff to sort through. I was hoping to die before I had to get to it but there is plenty of time for dying later so I may as well go through a few things so it makes it a little easier for me in the future.

And now you know ....... the rest of the story.

Good Day!

"Mongo stay. Mongo have deep feelings for Sheriff Bart."

With that out of the way, the past 2 mornings I have been greeted by frost everywhere. This morning it was 29* according to the radio. It's too early for this weather.

But, just in case, last night I got the edger out and cleaned up the sidewalks. That will make it easier when I have to dig the snowblower out and put it to use. Not looking forward to that.

We just had a report of a Florida Fall starting tomorrow. Highs still in the 80's with low humidity. Whoo Hoo! Can't wait till the highs are in the 70's and lows in the 60s. Then it will be the Florida I know and love. I hate Florida summers. Pretty much we get 6 nice months, 2 tolerable months and 4 hot,wet months. I'm almost ready to put on my dancing shoes.

Procrastinator's Creed

I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.

I shall never move quickly, except to avoid more work or find excuses.

I will never rush into a job without a lifetime of consideration.

I shall meet all of my deadlines directly in proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect from missing them.

I firmly believe that tomorrow holds the possibility for new technologies, astounding discoveries, and a reprieve from my obligations.

I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.

I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesimally small, is not exactly zero.

If at first I don't succeed, there is always next year.

I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.

I shall always begin, start, initiate, take the first step, and/or write the first word, when I get around to it.

I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.

I know that the work cycle is not plan/start/finish, but is wait/plan/plan.

I will never put off tomorrow, what I can forget about forever.

I will become a member of the ancient Order of Two-Headed Turtles (The Procrastinator's Society) if they ever get it organized.

Nothing interesting here except that I discovered Siri on my iPhone eavesdrops... I head it chime, and looked at the screen and apparently it has asked me what it could help me with and while I was talking to a friend of mine, it misconstrued what i said and got confused. It displayed a message that said "I do not know of humans from last December"... WTH???
And, apparently my southern slang isn't palatable to Siri, I tried to talk a text to someone telling them I was on my way or something and hoped that they had a good weekend and it tried to tell them something totally different.... could be interesting...
