I've been tired. Sitaday sounds good but I've been sitting a lot all week. That's probably why I'm so tired. Need to get my heart rate up and my energy level too.

Cloudy here today and somewhat colder. Had the GS outside yesterday while they tore up the garage floor to put in the new water line. I did drive it around some...nice!

Getting some outside Christmas decs up today...finally...didn't want to rush it....

I should.............but I'm not.

Been waiting for a big screen for a couple years.

BUT............reading TV reviews will make you cry in you soup. Seems about 20% of all new purchases blow the hell up within 6 months.
And don't tell me your brand that works great, I got one of those.

I've come to the conclusion the buying a new TV is like going to the casino.

Howdy! And Happy Hanukkah to you , Tommy! Meanwhile, there's about a half-inch of snow out there, and we're supposed to get 5-6 more inches by tomorrow night. And a high of 13 on Monday. Ick.

I'm going to start putting in the new balusters today - that should make a pretty good mess.

Bill, have you checked out the AV Forums? That is always a good source of info (and consternation and bewilderment).

Good Morning CGs!

Wife and I went out with the kids last night to shop for a new mattress for RR#1. Ended up going to about 3 different stores. Traffic sucked and it was getting late. So we ended up at a furniture place that is owned by a business partner of a lady my wife works with. Talked to the sales guy, and we picked out a medium grade mattress for her. Because of the "friends and family" discount the sales guy took another 50% off the sale price. Wow. I was pretty pleased with that. I tossed him a little tip at the end, he was pretty surprised and happy. So the $1100 mattress on sale for $525 cost us $275. Hope this is the last mattress we have to purchase for the next 10 years or so.

Bill, it's funny about reviews. I went online and checked the reviews for the mattress we purchased and the company has a ton of negative comments. But then I checked the reviews for Sealy, Simmons, and Posturpedic and they were the same or WORSE! So you can't please everyone. I think we did ok. I never buy the bottom entry level line of anything, this was about 2-3 steps up.

Need to clean up the house a bit today and get in a shoulder workout.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Thanks brad, I forgot about them, haven't been there since my last tv purchase.

Cnet is very good, more info that you want. Put nothing on satisfaction.

Just looked at J D Powers, Vizio tops the list.

I'll keep at it, I must like driving myself nuts.

In this season of celebration somebody thought they should share their views on the curb in front of the Menorah on Loncoln Road. They wrote, " Jews killed Jesus". They should have also noted that Christ was also known as the "King of the Jews". People never cease to amaze me.

Sitaday will be all I do here as well. Super foggy yesterday then the sun came out, then it rained all night now the sun and clouds are mixed with a chance of rain. Supposed to raint tonight and again tomorrow. Got all my errands ran and chores done yesterday, house is in decent order. Car needs cleaned but not gonna happen if it's about to rain anyway. I'll get out and jump in the sunbed then visit my cousin in the nursing home and that will most likely be it for the day. Have a good one

Swept the floor.

Vacummed the entire floor.

Put the crap back.

And washed the C4.

So has vizio stepped up their quality? Supposedly they made lcds for many other products and mfrs but their TVs always had the shittiest contrast ratios.

Beautiful day here. Sunny and 70F. I haven't been outside yet. I'm grinding the asbestos tar/adhesive off my concrete so the mortar will bond to it, then I'll put the last of the marble down.

I gave up looking at specs.
I guess if my 4 year old Vizio seems like it's got a very good pictures then a newer one will be even better but, I'm easy.

Vizio does get good reviews.

Evening guys....man, I've been on the go since I got up this morning. Our mens group is making beirrocks tomorrow (Runza, for my northern friends). We prepared the filling today, 240 lbs of burger, 240 lbs. of cabbage, 20 lbs of sauerkraut, enough to make 160 dozen . Then I worked on some Christmas presents this afternoon. Tomorrow will be full making the "rocks" and delivering them. Local bank had their appreciation soup supper this evening as well. It's time to sit down and relax.

Feels much cooler tonight and it actually looks like there's moisture in the air. Maybe....just maybe, we'll get a little rain or snow.

What is it about working out that makes you eat like a trucker???
Yesterday's bout killed me. They had the bright idea that we needed to work on our boxing form. Geez... Had us in front of mirrors shadow boxing for about a half danged hour using 5pound weights in each hand. Great for core and stuff, wore me the heck out, then if that wasn't bad enough, then there was the weights, strength and cardio that followed PLUS a round on the bags with gloves. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Then I wanted to eat everything that wasn't nailed down. Didn't but wanted to. Was too tired to.
Layed around most of today, got in the sunbed, went to our Hobby Lobby and got a table top tree and some decorations to put up in my cousin's room at the nursing home. That made her day. they brought her supper, she was starving and she hated it. I tried it.I hated it. Nurse came in she asked could she trade it for a sandwich. I asked could I buy a plate whatever the 'alternative' meal was. for $2 I got a frito pie sort of thing with tomatoes, about a pound of ground beef, sour cream, lettuce, salsa, fritos and cake and tea. Geez. No way I could eat all that and it tasted good, too! And it made her day that I ate dinner with her.

My workouts aren't anywhere near yours, Letty. But I come home hungry and ready to eat the ass of a roadkill skunk....OK, not quite that hungry, but hungry. I've had to push away from the table after one helping. I'm trying to lose a little weight.

My work out today.

I looked in the mirror.

Lifted two cups of coffee.

Put on my clothes.

Then started on some routine stuff around here.

Started on my new diet. I start on my new diet everyday because I never know what I'm gonna eat.

My sunbed was in my side yard while I laid on an exercise mat trying to figure out where a noise is coming from under my 91 Corvette. The noise is sort of a chucka-chucka wee-wee chucka-chucka wee-wee kinda sound. Do any of you know what it could be? It's coming kinda from the left side, right side middle of the front going back to the transmission. It's intermittent and goes away when warmed up. Doesn't make noise on start up but after a couple of minutes at idle. Changes with gear shifts and brake pressure and goes away with use. Strangest damned noise I ever heard. If I used the car everyday it wouldn't do it at all.

Yea, the Vizio I'm looking at is their latest technology (one of only 3 sizes at this time). The equivalent Sansung is almost double the price.

Put on my clothes.

That my usual work out.

Then I take my liquid vitamins around 5 o'clock.

Which one? I've read more about Vizio's lately than anyone.

The Wal-mart one.......

That sounds good Tom....a hundred and sixty dozen....yikes!

TB...best recommendation I can make for you is use a calorie counter. I use myfitnesspal.com -- they even have a smart phone app. Just by being aware of your eating (and portion size) will help you lose weight.

We will start making the first batch at 8 in the morning. Some will be there at 7 making the first batch of dough, so we can actually start at 8. We are hoping to have them all made, baked, cleaned up and delivered by 3pm. There will be about 20 people doing the various jobs.

I'm sorry... I almost spit my coffee out my nose when I read that... Sounded like something I'd tell the man I got my car from at which time he would ask me to duplicate the noise again so he could laugh at me...

Good luck with it though...
