Roum enke maleye.

Good lawd, that gal in the jet dragster has some balls! Up here in the Great White North, ours are frozen off. It's actually supposed to get a tad warmer for a few days, then back in the deep freeze. Maybe we should hire a fleet of those dragsters to make a few runs and heat things up here.

Have a good day, yawlz!

Yea, it is. Accelerates like a mofo, 0-60 in 2.8

The motor's a 125cc Honda, 45 HP (with extensive tweeking). You have to buy the motor from Honda in pieces (kit) because it's a 6 speed and the normal racebike engines were 5 speed.

Now, If you want something really fast - 300cc Rotax twin putting out 110 horse. Weight with driver - 450 lbs.

Well, one crappy project almost done. The steel channel in the nose at the front of the hood and the headlight bucket brackets. Huge pain to sand off the rust.
The paint looks splotchy cause it's black primer and is drying. I'll shoot it once more with SEM Trim Paint.

I took it apart in 1983 mostly because I had a 65 Coupe and a 76 Coupe as drivers. A buddie of mine wanted help doing a frameoff on his 67 Vert -427/435 and would get my frame done by his employees.

In '84 I got my position in Reno , the company wouldn't pay to move all my cars and trucks so I sold the 65 & 76 thinking that I'd buy a big block 67.

The 67 was NEVER supposed to be a quick restoration, it was something to play with when I retired (especially since I paid $3,000 for it).

I was looking at big blocks when someone said "You wanta get back into racing?".
I blew off the big block and never looked back, it was a very good decision.

I only work on the 67 when I feel like it (especially since I've been doing extremely dirty work that sucks).

It will get done when it gets done.
I still have a Corvette to drive and I haven't touched that car with a wrench in 5+ years, just drive it.

If I still could afford to race, I wouldn't even be touching the 67.

BTW, guys whovee never don a full resto have NO conception on how long this stuff takes - the TV shows aren't the real world,

Example: I'll have over 80 hours in each door. Probably 300 hours in paint stripping and bodywork, 8-10 hours restoring 4 A-arms, 6 hours just to repaint the firewall, etc.

We live in an instant gratification society - few people have the patience to do what you're doing. Seeing the process sure gives me an appreciation for how much work it is.

That's why all my cars are drivers. They look good to very good but they are not show cars. If I were to do a show car I would only have one car like that so I could dedicate all my car time to it. So, as it is, we have 4 1/2 cars right now. I'll get back to doing some restoration when I get the 928 back into my yard. Until then, we just use what we have. No major work needed but there is always work that will have to be done. ........ Eventually .........
