Good Morning CGs!

Welcome back to Tommy...hope you had an enjoyable time on your trip.

Should be another hot day today. Didn't get a chance to use the pool yesterday but I already think it's calling my name for later tonight. We'll see. Maybe I'll get a chance to play with the car, but probably not.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I'm taking the day off - DNBFS.

I may just sit in the racecar all day and make motor noises.

Morning guys...Supposed to be cooler for the next few days, only in the upper 80's and low 90's. So I think maybe I'll wash the car and the pickup.

Sitting in a racecar and make motor sounds, does appear to be fun though.......

Top of the morning to ya.....

It was the end of an era yesterday as a man handed me a check with a lot of numbers on it and I gave him the title to my Harley. Mixed reasons for selling it, all which add up to why. I have really put few miles on it in the last 3 years as I have gotten back into the Corvette world. I am not in a position to be able to afford garage art as I am concentrating on putting enough money away so someday I can retire. Also I do not have the reflexes and attention span that I think it requires to stay out of trouble on it. In fact have been in a close call or two lately where my distraction was to blame.

Started out on small 250 and 305 Hondas and got my firts Sportster in 1971 and for all but 12 years when the kids were little and I was building this business, there has been a Hog in the garage......

A moment of Guru silence please would be appreciated.....................................thank you.

Now on to bigger and better things.....I just have to figure out what that is...

Have a good day Guruistas.....live in the moment not in the past or in the future.....seize the day....

Guten Morgen! I had planned on brewing some beer today but the more equipment and the more technical I become it gets to be more of a chore. I really enjoy doing it and over the past few years have got the system down pretty good. But during the heat of the summer brewing outdoors is really hot and sweaty job. Future choices will be an all electric indoor rig in the basement. Cross your fingers I get motivated in the next hour or so!

May just take the headlight buckets out of the Vette today instead.

This is for Bill this morning!

Beer... thanks for the idea, Don.... I'll add having one of those in my clean little pool later to my list of things to do.
My daddy used to make the best beer IMHO... he made light and dark, drambuie, and wine. I miss that...

Howdy! Yard work is on the agenda - pretty sure that doesn't count as DNBFS. We had a nice evening down at the car show, though. Pretty good mix of classics and muscle-car era. A lot of 10-footers, though - I saw a surprising amount of poor body work.

Have a good day, folks!

Morning 'yall...

Just another day here; 106 for a high and I'm taking the 'vette to the body shop in the morning...I got rear-ended on the 4th. Nothing too serious but I think I'm pushing up the whole car paint job on the "get done eventually" list...

Got to get a few things at the store and then its movie time...have a great day wherever you are.

I started brewing beer back in college (1987). Ingredients and techniques were pretty rough. I stopped homebrewing shortly after graduating college and didn't pick it up again until maybe two or three years ago. I joined a local Homebrew club in Annapolis, MD about a year ago and things really took off as I learned some new tricks from the guys in the club. I now have five different beers on tap here at the house and not enough people to help me drink them. I don't really drink enough beer to warrant all of this but I enjoy the process and trying new recipes. I'm definitely a hop head but like most styles.

I just remember a friend's attempt at brewing - he went to a class at a local brew pub where you could brew your own beer. It tasted OK, but produced spectacular flatulence.

After reading everything above I think I will: 1. Find some pictures of my old bike. 2. Grab a cold beer or two.
3. Take 1 & 2 out to the garage and sit in the vette. 4. Make purring/roaring engine sounds. 5. Wait for the guys in the white suits with the jacket that ties in the back to show up.

Supposed to rain yesterday and today, but only got a very brief shower each day. Enough to wet the grass too much to mow, so I spent the time replacing a retaining wall beside the driveway. Just need some more fill dirt and to dig some steps into the bank beside it, then sod on top and that project will be done.

Evening....Rosie and I went over to the "city" to watch a movie, The Lone Ranger. I think that people who did not grow up with The Lone Ranger might not get some of the inside jokes. Overall I'd give it a thumbs up. Some very funny spots in it and explains the history of why the mask and other background info. We took the Vette. When we left it was sunny and 85. When we got out of the movie it was raining cats and dogs, when we got home it was cooler, but dry as a bone. Sprinkled a little as I cleaned the Vette up a bit before putting it away.

Just stick the whole ear in the microwave, 4 minutes. When it's done, cut the bottom end off, then grab the silk end, squeeze a bit and and pull the cob right out. It'll be hot - Ov-Gloves work great.

Yea, I found the vid with Ken on youtube, searching here didn't work.

Picked up a 2 inch thick fillet mignon for half price to add a bit of flavor to the corn.

Good evening, all.

It was hot, hot, hot today (low to mid 90s), but we still took the 'vert out in the afternoon (with the top down, of course). Drove around, did some errands: we pulled into an AutoZone and parked next to a 1986/1987 convertible, bronze/black top - in decent shape.

We went in to (Lord help me) buy some shop towels. Turns out the Corvette was owned by the guy at the register.

Went to see my cousin in the nursing home, took her a digital photo frame I loaded up with family photos for her, came back, vegetated in the pool a while, then grilled some pork steaks, country style ribs, chicken and corn and buttered bread. All for me. Too bad no one to share with, but if I'm gonna get a grill out I"m gonna make it count. Plus I don't have to cook for a day or two
Sat out back later and enjoyed my new (to me) screen house. Fell asleep out there....
