Good Morning CGs!
Welcome to August already! Weather is supposed to turn back into summer today, 81 and sunny. I love fall, I'm just not ready for it in July. I wanted to go to a car show last night but the kids were nightmares and had to be put to bed. Would have been just too late for them because they got up early. Oh well, maybe next Wednesday night. I think the next project on the car is wiring my torque converter override switch. Not difficult, I just need to do it. I already have the switch and I cut the hole in the console. I just need to run a wire to the brake/trans tcc lockup command wire. No biggie. Hope everyone has a great day! Matthew |

Sunday - Classic Car & Parts Swap Meet - Sacramanto with CorvetteJoe. Next week - Hot August Nights, Vomit Jackson Car Auction CorvetteBob will be in town. Aug. 16th - another racetrack test day, driving the Formula Atlantic again.  Aug. 24th - SCCA Time Trials at the racetrack, I'll wear some rubber off the 92's tires. Inbetween that, I'm pulling the body off the 67 and ordering a rear spring, new brake & fuel lines and other neato stuff. |

In the latest saga of The Dog House Chronicles .....
The day was winding down yesterday. Game night had ended and I thought it was time to relax ..... Wrong ..... Even though I had given my spouse a copy of the available general practicioners in out area several months ago,she had failed to call one and make an appointment. She asked for an updated list which I provided. Next came a rant and rave session about why I can't find her a doctor. She's busy and she works blah, blah, blah. My response to her .... How do I know what kind of Dr you want? Maybe you'd prefer a woman. I took the liberty of printing out all the Family Practice Drs to add to the field. How is Family Medicine different than General Practice I wonder? That only added fuel to the fire. For some unknown reason(women being from Venus) she wants us to both see the same doctor. I guess in her mind, a family doctor is a doctor for the family. She wants me to make an appointment for both of us.( We have not had a general practicioner for a couple of years now due to disputes, retirement and one that flipped out). I know none of the doctors reputations. I told her I might as well just throw a dart. So ..... I'm back in the doghouse again for something that pretty much had little or nothing to do with me except in the mind of a woman. Never really thought of selecting a doctor as a bonding issue.  Have a great day gurus. I'm going for a ride to check out some Drs offices. |

Gotta go in and help My daughter move this morning then back to check some fields just when it gets real hot....I try to think of the winter when the blizzards are blowing and we huddle around the fireplace dreaming about if we could be like Tommy....or Andy or anyone who is warm and getting ready to play golf...or go cruising......then it doesn't seem so bad out.... Very nice car!!!! wow....I'd still like to have that '68 that's half done up at the shop but it's way too nice for me.
What's the big deal about a doctor? Yeah, family practitioners typically I guess are for the entire family. General docs treat whatever? Can't ya just pick one? If you don't like him/her, then go to another one??? Another long day at work, this is my slow time. Bored. I made some custom boat letters, that's been it. Waiting on my new truck tail lights to come in, then I can install those and the step rails both tomorrow up at the shop. have a good day y'all... |

Two out of the three I went to check out were vacant. I stopped by the the Community Health Center up the street and looks like they're the winner (ding, ding, ding). They have all the services we need under one roof. We already have a handful of specialists. We need a general practice Dr to handle our routine stuff. I haven't been to a Dr other than my cardiologist and dentist in over 4 years. I need the annual chest x-ray, 5 yr colonoscopy, blood work, urinalysis and all the other stuff I hate to go to the Dr for. Plus I need a head to toe check for skin cancer related stuff. My wife's another story. She will build a long lasting personal relationship with her pysician. She has enough medical issues to fill a book. Men are hardwired I believe, to avoid the Dr's office as much as humanly possible. At least I am. After my 4 year hiatus I'm afraid I must return. My wife have shared the same physician through the years. I guess it's a trend she wants to continue. I just do as I am ordered.  |

I just talked with my darling wife. She told me she'll call me back if I have to do a delivery to The Beach. That will be almost as much fun as having a right testicle chewed off by a dog while you sleep. Nothing like driving 80 miles through some of the most gridlocked traffic in the nation. If it sounds like I'm complaining it's probably because I am. Whah! But have a nice day anyway. |

I never go to the doc either. But here anyway you have to be one of 'their patients'... and that's your 'family doc'.. or you can go to the MediQuack places. Don't matter to me so long as I get treated if I need to. It helps if you have problems to stick with the same one so they are familiar with your mess I suppose. Even so, I really don't think I'd want my husband out trolling around for MY doctor... but, that's just me.
Those double yellow lines are there so you have something to follow when you've had too much to drink to get home without help... |

My local grocery store must have noticed an increase in Busch NA sales. They usually stock 4 6 packs. Guess how many I take. Correct. 4 The price jumped from $4.59 to $4.99. Price gougers. I've seen that beer in 12 packs upstate. Don't think they ever go on sale though. Some see NA beer and ask why? I see NA beer and ask why not? I've tried all the NA's but I like Busch. |
