Good morning gang.

We made it to Friday. Lets all try to enjoy the weekend for those that have the weekend off.

Warm here this morning temps in the mid 60's should be sunny today and in the low to mid 80's.

Word of the Day Friday, August 09, 2013

finagle\ fi-NEY-guhl \, verb;

1. to trick, swindle, or cheat (a person) (often followed by out of): He finagled the backers out of a fortune.

2. to get or achieve (something) by guile, trickery, or manipulation: to finagle an assignment to the Membership Committee.

3. to practice deception or fraud; scheme.

Origin:

Finagle likely comes from the English dialect term fainaigue meaning "to cheat." It entered English in the 1920s.

For Bill and those in the Reno area here's where the C7's are.

Yes, we have sighted seven C7's so far, with another rumored tomorrow.

Silver Legacy has one parked near their hotel registration desk. The lighting is terrible. It SEEMS to be Cyber Gray, but we're honestly not 100% sure.

Barrett Jackson has two - a Laguna Blue Premiere Edition and a Night Race Blue convertible. (Luggage nowhere to be seen. )

Chevy has FOUR at the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot for the "ride and drives". (You ride in a C6 after test driving another Chevy.) The ones on display there at GSR are a white within a collection of all the different Vette body styles, a Laguna Blue, a silver and a Cyber Gray.

It is rumored there is a red around here somewhere. We will endevour to find it tomorrow.

I will post pics in another thread.

Good Morning CGs!

The kids had a ball at the zoo yesterday, didn't want to leave as usual. We still spent about 4 1/2 hours there and you could easily spend 8 or more if you wanted to visit every attraction. So we mix it up a bit for each visit. After the zoo we stopped at a little local restaurant we like and had some grub and an ice cream treat. Got home and went to meet Rick to kill some paper bad guys. Had a nice time there and got to try out Rick's new sig sauer .45 polymer gun. I shot a nice tight group at about 15 feet. Gun had a long trigger pull but was a nice feel overall.

Folks area leaving today which is a bummer, always seems too short of a trip. I'm back to work which is also a bummer...lol.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

I didn't get around to making my list yesterday. Perhaps I'll get to it today. I have to go make a deposit uptown at my credit union. I have that account for only one reason, to pay my monthly dental insurance premium. I've had my dental insurance through them for 25 years or more. Looks like I'll take the 90 for a ride. See if I can block everything out and just

Enjoy the ride ___________ ________

Morning guys....Rosie got off work at 5 yesterday and when she came home she told me "let's go out to eat tonight for our anniversary", since one daughter and kids will be here today. So we drove over to the "city" and had a nice supper, picked up some groceries and came home. 38 years is nothing to sneeze at guys.

Not much going on today for me. Daughter and kids from KC coming in for a few days. She has some work out here at the "city" and figured it would be a good time to bring the kids to see Gpa and Gma.

I still have a couple projects i need to get done before school starts, but if I don't...oh well.

Got back a little while ago from my ride. The forecast was calling for dry weather so of course the skies are gray with intermittent showers. The Vette did not melt in the rain, thankfully. It ran well and I treated my ears to a Molly Hachet cd on the way home. Glad one of the Vettes is running good. Nice little cruise.

"Tenjooberrymuds". It will make sense after you read the following.

I was recently in Miami and decided to learn the Spanish language, so I could understand the check-outs at McDonalds.
My next move is to learn Indian, so I can understand my doctors and the person that answers the phone when I have a warranty problem.
Yep, by the time I read this, I was able to understand the 1st line. Read on and you will too - or don't bother going South of Jacksonville, Florida.

"TENJOOBERRYMUDS"...
In order to continue getting-by in America (our home land), we all need to learn the NEW English language! Practice by reading the following conversation until you are able to understand the term "TENJOOBERRYMUDS". With a little patience, you'll be able to fit right in. Now, here goes...

The following is a telephone exchange between maybe you as a hotel guest and room-service somewhere in the good old U S A today.......

Room Service : "Morrin. Roon sirbees."

Guest : "Sorry, I thought I dialed room-service."

Room Service: " Rye . Roon sirbees...morrin! Joowish to oddor sunteen???"

Guest: "Uh..... Yes, I'd like to order bacon and eggs.."

Room Service: "Ow July den?"

Guest: ".....What??"

Room Service: "Ow July den?!?... Pryed, boyud, poochd?"

Guest: "Oh, the eggs! How do I like them? Sorry.. Scrambled, please."

Room Service: "Ow July dee baykem? Crease?"

Guest: "Crisp will be fine."

Room Service: "Hokay. An Sahn toes?"

Guest: "What?"

Room Service: "An toes. July Sahn toes?"

Guest: "I... Don't think so."

RoomService: "No? Judo wan sahn toes???"

Guest: "I feel really bad about this, but I don't know what 'judo wan sahn toes' means."

RoomService: "Toes! Toes!...Why Joo don Juan toes? Ow bow Anglish moppin we bodder?"

Guest: "Oh, English muffin!!! I've got it! You were saying 'toast'.... Fine...Yes, an English muffin will be fine."

RoomService: "We bodder?"

Guest: "No, just put the bodder on the side."

RoomService: "Wad?!?"

Guest: "I mean butter... Just put the butter on the side."

RoomService: "Copy?"

Guest: "Excuse me?"

RoomService: "Copy...tea..meel?"

Guest: "Yes. Coffee, please... And that's everything."

RoomService: "One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglish moppin, we bodder on sigh and copy .... Rye ??"

Guest: "Whatever you say.."

RoomService: "Tenjooberrymuds."

Guest: "You're welcome"

Remember I said "By the time you read through this YOU WILL UNDERSTAND 'TENJOOBERRYMUDS' ".......and you do, don't you!

Thank you very much, oh brother!!!

"Tenjooberrymuds"

Hilarious!!!!

Happy anniversary, Tom 38 years is impressive...

speaking of hoarding bacon like bullets - a friend of mine has a box of 22 shells (500 to a box) paid $9.99 some time ago for the entire box. Thanks to the gubmnt those things are high as hell now... the local pawn shop that buys them offered him $400 for the box. JEEZ! I'd been all over that. He did sell the guy some rounds, more than doubling his money and the pawn shop dude will in turn, make a tidy profit as well. Too bad he didn't have any I could use for the .40 or the 30.06

And - to whomever sent me the sunshine I requested - thank you - many thanks! got kinda cloudy this morning, but then the sun popped out while I was running a couple of errands and I got home in time to jump in my swimsuit and jump in the lawnchair like a lizard on a rock and soak up my due share of it. 60% chance of rain tomorrow and again through Tuesday. Was through Thursday but they've taken two of the rainy days out of the forecast.
Actually got to uncover and drive the Vette for the first time in what, two weeks?? Forgot what color it was, surprised it started....

Holy crap! I have a few bricks that I had before the Sandy Hook shooting. Wish I had more. I don't know anyone that would pay that kind of money though. WalMart around here never has any on the shelf, I go up there a lot on Saturday mornings and I never see any. I think they get like ten boxes in a week and the employees buy it all up.
