Good morning

Next weekend I'll have a couple of nights like the fun night tee had at his house. I have my BIL, SIL, a niece and her husband, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews coming for the third, fourth, and fifth of July. It will be a good test for the house though. In my old house we had 17 of us at one time. My old house looked like a giant tent. We have more room here and everybody will have place to lie their head. Two guest rooms, 2 blow up mattresses and a couple of couches will handle it. Looks like I'll be busy. There's only one toddler at 1 1/2 years old and several womenfolk to look after her. I'll get to entertain some of the rest of them. Good thing we have a few games around here for the kids to play. I could always send them out to visit with BillH. He could have them play sand the car and clean up rusty parts.

Only 3 days left for anyone to play "sand the car".

But, Bill's going to play at the race track today.
Anyone else want to??????

Morning guys....Yes we had fun last night. It'll take a week or more to recover. But it was fun. They played cards while I watched the Royals smack the Angels. One of the little grand nephews (about 3 1/2 yo) got to be pretty good buddies last night watching them. Salvadore (Salvy) Perez is his favorite player on the Royals.

As far as remembering the 80's...I'm trying to forget them Bill, that sounds like a good way to spend a weekend. Think I'm headed up to watch some swimming.

The 80's.....kind of a blur to me....I got married in the 80's.....and GM had some really great cars and trucks....just kidding they were junk...especially my diesel Impala what a fine car it was....The Corvettes were not bad but no horsepower.

We have had 1.7 inches of rain in the last 2 days....its official the drought is over...

Was going to mow today but its to wet and the grass is getting very tall may have to have a swather come in soon if it keeps raining.

Not much else going on here.....have a good weekend Guru's..

Howdy! Kinda sore today, must've taken too many swings at the tournament yesterday. We were terrible, but no biggie, it's a good cause. I had to rush home to get over to my niece's wedding reception afterward. Now later this morning we have to go over to my sister-in-law's for some BBQ thing, which I'd be happy to skip. But life will be much more peaceful if we go. At least it looks like the rain they were forecasting isn't going to materialize.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

I hope the states that abused the system choke on them bonds. Think of how many millions of dollars in medical expenses, retirement pensions and annuities were saved by the states that smokers died young. People that don't live a long time save on long term expenditures and payouts. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Better yet, I think I'll make mine weed. Cost almost as much as cigarettes nowadays. GA CGs!

I was up early this morning and went across the street to help with the plant sprinkler system. I started it about 2 weeks ago and never got to finish it. We wanted to start early due to the 90* heat and 70% humidity. After 3 hours we were 95% done and I couldn't handle the heat anymore. So I called it a day. Turned out pretty good and will hydrate all of the flower pots and planters surrounding the deck.

Have to run some errands later and that should be it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good afternoon, all!

We both worked this morning - some stuff for clients, some stuff getting things under control in the house (like getting all the garage remotes set correctly).

We're hoping to head out in the convertible in an hour or two.

Everyone went down to the swim meet except #3 GS he was sleeping in, so I stayed home. I spent the time cleaning the inside of the pickup. After that I let the Corvette down and put a nice coat of wax on it. They all came home and ate lunch and then all the company left. We have spent the last hour picking up the house.

Minnesota was the first state to tax e-cigs, at something like 95 of wholesale price. Some other states are making noises to enact similar taxes. There's no justification for it, but they can get away with it.

Tax happy bastards. And you wonder why millionaires and billionaires are renouncing their citizenship in droves. Too many taxes. What do we want? Revolution! When do we want it? Now! Less is more! Less is more! The more in your pocket the more you're gonna spend.

Started off gloomy here today, the sprint races that my friend and I were going to see (his cousin, a 16-year old is the racer) got rained out. We ended up at their house for a cookout in Dyersburg for the afternoon. Ended up being a nice day. Another driver came through and stopped at the small airport across the street to pick up the driver who flew in - AJ Fike... I dont' know them, but they all seemed to - I do know I got to get in the trailer (2-story) dude has a nice trailer, and I saw a set of headers laying in there I'd like to have. Not sure what I'd do with them but they looked pretty lying there. The kid got to meet that guy and give him one of his 'photo cards"... This is the kids' website... http://www.ryanroymotorsports.com
Pretty impressive schedule the kid has coming up... "if he keeps his grades up" according to his mother LOL...
Tv for the rest of the night for us, tomorrow is the pool for me if it's nice out and I think he is planning to visit some other friends of his.. and for you rednecks, you'd like his big ass truck photo attached if it worked

Got home a little bit ago from a street dance put on by the Library. A group Marcus might remember, King Midas and the Mufflers. They have been around for 50 years. They were one of the top bands back when I was in school. Three of the original members still run the band. They played three hours, good thing that the weather was good. It was sunny, in the low-mid 80's today and no wind. Humidity was up from the rain last night, but I'm not complaining.

I don't remember King Midas but we left Kansas in 65 to move to Omaha.....in Nebraska we have a band like that called the Rumbles....they opened for the Beach Boys in Omaha in 66 or 67 and I was in attendance. Jan and Dean were playing also....big doings for Nebraska back then. Anyway the Rumbles are still going strong with mostly the original guys and they play street dances all over the State and are still a huge drawing card...amazing...
