Good morning gang.

Made to the end of another week. Looks like a pretty decent day today. We should reach mid 30's and no rain.

On with today.

Word of the day is railbird.

Today is NATIONAL PIE DAY

National Pie Day is celebrated annually on January 23rd.

National Pie Day, an unofficial national holiday, was created simply to celebrate the pie. It is a day for all to bake or cook their favorite pies. Even more importantly, it is a day set aside for all to enjoy eating pies!

The first pies appeared around 9500 BC in the Egyptian Neolithic period or New Stone Age.

Fun Tidbit – Pie throwing:
Cream filled or topped pies are favorite props for humor. Throwing pie in a person’s face has been a staple of film comedy since Ben Turpin received one in Mr. Flip in 1909.

National Pie Day History

National Pie Day was created by the American Pie Council. The American Pie Celebration began in 1986 to commemorate Crisco’s 75th anniversary of “serving foods to families everywhere”.

NATIONAL HANDWRITING DAY

National Handwriting Day, an unofficial holiday, was started to re-introduce one’s self to a pen or pencil and a piece of paper. According to the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association, it is a chance for all to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting.

National Handwriting Day History

National Handwriting Day was established by the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association in 1977. Their motive is to promote the consumption of pens, pencils and writing paper. January 23rd was chosen as this is the birthday of John Hancock. John Hancock was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence.

Ordered my suspension parts for the 99 Yukon. Now it's time to shower, get dressed and get busy ......... I'm on a mission to tighten up some mechanical issues with the fleet. Many will get done. Some will have to wait like the A/C work on the 928 and the ABS work on the 91. Bit by bit, piece by piece it all comes together. It's only money ..... My wife better not ask me "Can I get you anything? I'll probably have a response.

Good Morning CGs!

Not much going on here. 36* today. They say 1-4 inches of snow on Sat. Oh joy.

Tommy, what is wrong with the ABS on the 91?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hidey-ho! Busy day ahead, should make the weekend materialize quickly. Only about 2 months until I bring the Vette home - then I can get started on my list from 2011.

Enjoy your Friday, Gurus!

I believe it's the ABS. Noises on cold starts. It settles down after warm up and use but I there's a racket. Not right away, after a couple of minutes. Then it goes away upon use. I may be wrong about what it is but it will get some attention soon. The 91 also has a small oil leak that must be tracked and eliminated. I go through the cars every spring and try to knock out a couple of things. Some of them have been ongoing and minor but I like to keep them all roadworthy.

Sue's down in Marathon today and tomorrow at a garden club show. I 'm hoping to get a few things done while the cat is away. While the cat's away the dogs will get some stuff accomplished.

Morning guys...busy again this morning. GS #1 plays in semi-finals tonight. Hoping that they can get by and play for the championship tomorrow.

Rosie and I are going to get our pictures taken today, we are applying for passports, so I'm sure these will be very flattering photos.

The plan this summer is to vacation up in the upper midwest/northeast, Michigan, cross over into Canada, New York, Pennsylvania. We have some friends who moved up to Michigan a couple years back, and they have been asking us to come up and see them. So we will visit them for a few days and do some sightseeing around there.

Next class arriving, got to go.

Year and a half here. They expire every ten years. Damn if 10 years doesn't just fly by. And of course, it's a pain in the ass to go through the process. Why can't you just say I need a renewal? Here's the new picture and a handful of money. Thank you very much. But no,oooooo.

A friendly reminder to shop for those Valentine's Day cards soon, before all that is left are the lamest of the bunch, with dirty fingerprints on them and no matching envelope.
