Massive amounts of yard work today which includes but not limited to weed whacking, spraying round up, pulling weeds and mowing. Game night tonight and I have to make the dinner. Spaghetti and meat balls and biscuits. Not too tough but it still takes time.. I have a pinched nerve in my back that isn't contributing to the jobs that must be done. Visitors coming tomorrow. Wish I could be comfortably numb.

I am right here......and thinking I should go back to bed. But alas I can not...

UWoman took her big test yesterday...the GRE is what it is called. I think dazed would be a good term for how she was after. I know she kept mumbling....who could know all the chit......we will see later this summer how she fared......thanks for the mojo...this will be a true test of the Guru Mojo system.....

Today I am going to go out in a field and look at stuff......imagine that....and then hang that monster mirror......wife picked up the big brackets at HD....

...run headlong into it today Guru's......

Good Morning CGs!

July already? Man.

Have to take RR#2 to his t-ball practice this morning. After that I'm back to mom/dad's to hang some shelves.

Always something to do.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! They say it will be partly sunny here today, though the sunny part has yet to make itself known. I may start on a little paver project later, or not. We'll see. Ambition is waning, but so is the week.

Enjoy your day, all!

Wow, I stepped outside this morning and immediately thought,"July 1, feels more like September 1, kids should be back in school it feels like fall."

I may actually get to mow the hayfield I am calling a lawn tonight. Thinking of raising the mower a couple of notches, cutting the grass, drop the mower back down and do a second cut in a day or 2. Two cuts in 1 day is a bit too much.

It is shaping up to be a good looking weekend. Hopefully I will get 2 nights of Sprint Car racing in. The All Stars are in town !

Took my mother to her's best friend Funeral
They had me drive her car right up to the grave so she didn't have to get out.

Afterwards.... the car WOULDN'T START!

Friend took her to the dinner while I waited for AAA after the jump start from friends and the groundskeeper couldn't get the starter to engage

The AAA got it started, said it needed a new starter, bad tooth just luck

Dropped off her car can went to the dinner to go get her with the truck.

Shopping for a replacement starter now.

Oh yeh, the book. Let me go find it ........ Believe it or not, by the end of the morning I had pretty well worked it on out. I think doing nothing, like sitting on a couch, would have only made matters worse. Back almost 20 years ago I was so stiff I could hardly move. I went to see a specialist and he that prescribed physical therapy. As I remember this guy was a great doctor with terrible bedside manner. He bit my head off in the exam room. From that I learned that keeping active and moving into many positions helps to keep the joints lubricated. Back when I was working I was standing all day and moved about in a very small area. That repetitive motion killed my knees and lower back. Bending, stretching, lifting all helped to alleviate the pain. Since I retired I am in better shape than when I was working. I walk a lot and do tasks that in general keep me flexible. Well, as flexible as I can be. I'm still racked with arthritis in the knees, back and hands but I deal with it.
