Tajka nenek!

They say there's 100% chance of rain, so the Vette languishes in the garage. It'll probably be sunny.

Nose to the grindstone, Gurus!

Perfect weather up here yesterday and today looks like.....you know the bluest skies you've ever seen are in Seattle....the greenest greens you've ever seen are in Seattle.....go ahead and sing it in your head all day....

Went to the LeMay car museum yesterday and it was impressive......the facility is wild and we even had a good lunch there.....here are some pics...

Resized Image

I did not know they only made 641 of these GSX's.......among other things they had a 4A in them way before that was the norm......455 CI also I believe......

This is the only one of a fiberglass body 64 Buick Wildcat in existence. GM had 2 made but found the process to expensive to change molds on a yearly basis as these type cars changed design rapidly. They were 450 lbs lighter than the metal body cars. GM destroyed the other car but the shop that did the work managed to save this one.......

Saw this at the Winery the day before.......just out for some wine tasting in the family Poorcha........

I also got to play on one of the race car simulators that have. I had the Watkins Glen one......it was very cool......I did not do very well....did not wreck but its hard to when you are only going 80 on the race track......I would like to have one of those in my house but they are very pricey.....

More later have a good day Guru's......

Weather here is the usual, JFB.

I won't get to play with the 67 much this week. Have to finish up the Ford and do a full prep on the Atlantic (6 hours). Load up Thursday, head to the race track on Friday.

Have you ever noticed that some of the most valuable cars are the ones that were contracted to be destroyed and the unethical behavior of the contractor resulted in a windfall for some lucky (wealthy) individual? Or is it just me that see's that?

I have stuff to do and have been procrastinating. What else is new?

Those remind me of the wooden cars I made in The Cub Scouts. Took me about 6 hours too.

Sunday was interesting. After getting a few hours of sleep I dragged a brown Corvette out of my garage and worked on it until it turned red. Worst dirt I have ever had on the poor thing. We were at the race track Saturday until 2:45 a.m. Sunday. Once the car turned red, I decided to finally replace the failed turn signal bulb. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Of course I didn't totally follow the FSM instructions which made it a quicker job. I wanted to bring it to work today but the weather was iffy this morning.

Tommy, if you are procrastinating, you are still doing something.

Good Evening CGs!

Went to mom's house this morning to snap some pictures of the car they have for sale. After that I stopped at Autozone to get some oil. More expensive than Walmart. I asked them to price match - they told me they don't price match Walmart. Huh? I left it on the counter and went (literally) next door to walmart where is was $14.12 vs $18.99 at Autozone. Worth the extra four minutes to me.

Got home and changed the oil on the wife's Rogue (without a mess, I might add) and then stopped for lunch. After that I tackled the front brakes which included rotors and pads. I was planning on doing the back, too, but once I got the wheels off the pads had at least 60% or more. So I pulled everything apart and lubed the slide pins and shims. Should be good for another 2 years or so.

Tomorrow I hope to tackle some projects on the Corvette.

Guys....I was up and around early, playing plumber again. Today, I got to remove the walk-in tub at my daughters' house and install a shower. Thankfully, I had a real plumber there as well. We got the tub out and the shower in, all plumbed, tomorrow we will finish it up.

I've heard that LeMay Museum is pretty good, it looks pretty good.
