Good Morning CGs!

Went to visit dad last night but all he did was sleep. They have him on a new med, seraquil, which is a calming/sleep drug. It worked. Maybe they will adjust his dosage a little today. Not sure. It has promise, but what's that use if all you do is sleep 18 hours a day?

I still need to order the new motor mounts for the car. I'm not looking forward to swapping them out, but I'm looking forward to having a smoother driving car.

Hidey-ho! Nice and sunny today, but a bit cooler. Still quite an improvement over last week. Nice to have the truck sitting at home collecting dust for a change.

Morning guys...Stayed up a little late as I was dead tired last night, but I was watching my Royals. They've been playing like crap recently. But they pulled one out last night, scoring three runs in the bottom of the ninth for a walk-off win.

Going to hang the last set of cabinets at the fourplex today, then back to work on the island. A lady from church brought me a old lamp yesterday to fix for her, what a PITA, took me several tries to get it back together right. But that is done.

..saw those Tommy.....very nice! Get that satellite dish mounted on top and the 60" big screen in and you will have a nice little get away......not that you need to ever hide or get away from the phone......

long day yesterday so I am goofing off a bit this morning. It is another fine day here on the great plains.....

Took the car out for a cruise yesterday and thought it was quieter but can still hear some tire noise. I have 25K on the tires and hope to make it thru the summer on them but the rears are getting noisy......

They are moving Brett (Uboys roommate) to Walter Reed in Washington. We don't know if that is a good sign or a bad one. We shall see.

I have been somewhat negligent in my posting lately. Crazy busy.

In honor of the Eta Aquariid meteor shower that we are now in the midst of, and the 55th anniversary of the first American manned space flight I offer up this little diddy.

My photography buff colleague took an impromptu trip up to northern MN to take some pictures last night - here's one:

Also a beautiful day here, perfect temps, sunny, slight beeze, pretty puffy clouds here and there. wish my desk was outside, considering I've nothing to work on. Can't complain - money for nothing, that is suitable. Beats running my hiney off for same. Truck search continues...
Matt - seroquil is very powerful - I had some of that once, a small dose and slept 14 hours. Was a zombie for all the next day. Can't imagine them giving that to an older person. But, Ambien isn't good for them, either. Usually a benaryl will suffice? prayers things get worked out for the best there.

Got the cabinets hung and some work in the shop done. It is a beautiful day here, upper 70's and light breeze. I have to go get my #2GS at the golf course pretty soon.

Reminds me of back in the day up in Montana we would go out in the country far from a town and sit on the hood of the car drinking Boone's Farm wine and be mesmerized by the milky way in all its glory.....lots of shooting stars also....ah freedom on a warm summers night......the smell of the sage and the pines.......the radio playing KOMA in the background.....chit I gotta get back up there.........
