How hot is it?

Morning guys...A little better this morning, sure hope I'm on the downhill side of this back problem. Lots to do in the shop today. Think I'll turn the AC on pretty early, as this is supposed to be the hottest day this week.

Hidey-ho! Gonna be plenty toasty here, heat index will be around 110, maybe higher. I learned something yesterday - that is how hot it feels in the shade. I think I'll stay indoors when I get home and sample some kind of tasty beverage.

The local weather weenies always forecast 4 degrees hotter than the National Weather Service, must be liberals.

The heat index here is always 4-5 degrees lower than the temp.

It's always 4-6 degrees cooler at my house than it is down in Reno.

The humidity forecast for today is 8%.

Went shopping with the wife and we bought new chairs for the kitchen and a new dresser for RR#1s bedroom. Some $500 later we are done. After that, wife's worked called and asked if she can come in tomorrow. The answer is yes.

1 Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

....@BC..... I can relate to those.....

...just a bunch of little crap that refuses to cooperate...and nobody stocks parts anymore....have it here by Monday....nice what about the loads I have to haul today......then the backup truck goes goofy and I am ready to trade the whole mess in on a brand new truck with no issues........and lots of warranty.......but I still love those big uglies........

Just got back from the county fair, free BBQ dinner. Ran into one of my former students there and we chatted for some time. We got along great as teacher-student. He left for two years to go to school and is now back helping his dad and grandpa farm. He told me he was sorry that he didn't have much time to come see me the last two years, but I told him I know how busy he was just trying to get through his schooling. He promised to come see me and "catch up" once they get caught up with the farming.
