I've got a funeral to go to this morning and tomorrow morning as well. Today's is the father of former students and a former teaching colleague. He lived in Denver for the past 20 years...not sure why they came back here to have the funeral. Oh, well. Tomorrows is for, again, the father of former students and a member of our mens group. Both at our church. I won't be getting a lot done this morning in the shop.

I've decided I don't like funerals.......anybodies and especially my own someday.......
Only getting up to 81 here today but long term back to the mid 90's next week. It will be August......wow where did this month go.... Woman getting ready to head back to school on the 8th....she is bummed....bet you don't miss that coming up Tee....... not much else going on here.........have a day Guru's.......... |

I usually only care to attend funerals for people that were close to me. Sue on the other hand seems to want to go to the to people she knows relative's funerals to show support. Not a big wake or funeral fan. Bag me, tag me and take me away .......

Yesterday I did some Nebraska style caulking applying color matched primer to the outside. By color matched I mean we had the primer tinted the same color as the paint. Works better that way. Today I'm doing other stuff. No painting today. I got it all rolled yesterday but still have to cut the primer in. One job at a time ..............

Not much for funerals here, either. I'll sign in at the visitation and greet a few, then I'm out. Don't want to be at my own. I told my designated driver that for mine to play some choice songs I like, get some kegs, and hookers or whatever and have a good time on me. Consider it a parting gift.
Trying to keep my head down at the wrap shop today, not much sleep. Eye doc at 7am - not sure how I'm supposed to see anything that early. Have a good day, all. |

Back from the funeral, I don't like them either, but it was good to see the family members. I had three of the six siblings as students, one of the older ones as a teaching colleague for 10 years or so, the fifth one as a neighbor (across the street for 25 years, so I was, kind of, tagged to the family. I've told my kids, "burn my ass to a crisp and scatter my ashes out in the country". The church hall is all set up for tomorrows go round.
It's below 90 here, but the humidity is soaring. I think I may take a nap this afternoon. |
