Greetings! Good day to be indoors - it isn't raining yet, but it looks quite ominous out there, black as the ace of spades. I expect a gullywasher any minute. Hopefully it'll be calm by naptime :-P

Have a good day, all!

Morning guys....as I said yesterday, I delivered the baby furniture, and the new parents were very happy. They have a cutie for a new baby as well. The furniture matched, stain-wise, the other pieces in the room, which is what we were shooting for. And before I left, I had two more pieces to build for the room. That's what I would call a satisfied customer.

The crib assembled and in its' new home.

Do those look like $2800 to you?

I now have a small toy box/hope chest and a bedside table to match, to build as well. But before I do that I have a rustic bathroom vanity to build out of rustic hickory...ought to be an interesting build.

Supposed to be seasonably hot today, but humidity levels above normal, so it will feel hotter than 'seasonably' hot.

Hi Gurus,
I sprained my ankle pretty smartly last Saturday hiking with the wife. Of course it's happened before when I was a kid but, WOW, at 41yrs old it's like a totally new experience and not one I care to repeat anytime in the future.

I just bought the pistons/rings which completes the short block parts on the 496 BBC I'm building for my 72.... now on the expensive stuff (top end).

I still have some minor work to do on the 84 before we go racing again on the 20th. Then we have a rain date make up race the very next weekend on the 26th.

Marcus - I highly recommend a BB 4M C3.

Teebee - That is some very nice wood work.

Oh a friend at work just bought a new C7 Stingray... it's a great car. Wish I had room to keep another Vette.

Love the work, tee.

Yet another attempted burglary at the nursery. Got an alarm call last night around 11:30. Upon arriving I noticed the lock and chain at the gate was hanging. On the corner was a car parked in an unusual manner. I got behind the car, called 911, reported the make model and tag and at the 911 dispatcher's request, I waited at the intersection nearby for the arrival of local law enforcement. Where I was waiting gave me clear view of the vehicle and both gates. I was watching for the thieves to try and make their escape. In a relatively short amount of time, unmarked units showed up on the scene. What happened next was a bit of a surprise. Units from both Homestead and Miami Dade arrived one by one setting up a perimeter. The female driver of the waiting vehicle mentioned was detained. K-9 units were brought in, the helicopter arrived and started an aerial search. After over an hour of looking with the K-9's and the copter crew, the hunt for the subjects was called off. In the end nothing appears to have been stolen. What remained was the cut locks and hasp from the bolt cutters. The thieves lost their ride. The investigation continues. I hope they catch these lowlife scumbags and the courts give them a little room and board for awhile. Kudo's to the members of both Miami Dade and Homestead Police units. They did their best in protecting and serving us in response to yet another theft attempt at our nursery.

I'm tired of computers, electronics, reading codes and all that crap.

Besides, the C3 is a better looking car.

Really nice baby accessories there, Tee - they'll hand them down I'm sure to the next generation.
Sorry your nursery is getting hit so much Tommy but dang what a response! Were they filming a tv show by chance? LOL
Slow day at the wrap business but gonna be a busy one tomorrow at the body shop I've already been warned. And it'll be a scorching 97 degrees plus a billion humidity.. can't wait....
On a side note, if anyone hears of a GS rim (19") for sale, just one, and I don't care if the back is busted, all I need is the front. I need one for a project.
Also have a set of C5 chromes at the shop needing gone....

Evening folks...kind of a screwed up day. Got out to the shop to work and got somethings done, so while waiting for the glue to dry I decided to change the plugs and wires on the Corvette......YES, I know that plugs and wires should last 100k miles. But I don't push those limits. Ole 007 has right at 45k presently. I'll say that changing plugs and wires on a C6, is easier than either a C4 or C5.

Grabbed a bite to eat and got back out to the shop with the two older GSs. I had them cutting pieces for 5 child rocking chairs. We ran the prototype the other day, I made a few minor changes to the CNC cutting paths and we got all the parts glued up. Tomorrow we will surface plane them down to finished thickness.

Mid afternoon I got a call to go up to the church to babysit the AC repairman....like I'd know if he was doing it right or wrong. I really was there in case he needed in different areas of the church, I have keys.

What are you doing with the GS wheel, Letty?
