Hidey-ho! The alarm clock was a most unwelcome sound. Driveways and side streets are like skating rinks, but the main roads weren't too bad - we had freezing rain last night, and the bottom is gonna drop out of the thermometer. Just another day in the frozen tundra. Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure I need one of these:

Safe travels, Marcus!

Have a good day, yawlz!

CLOUDY, COLD, AND BREEZY IN THE NATIONS THIS MORNING, FALLING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED. THE CHEROKEES WILL ENDEAVOR TO PERSEVERE AS WE RETURN TO THE DEEP FREEZE.

I'M GOING TO MISS THOMAS SOWELL, HE IS A PRINCE OF COMMON SENSE.

“In the summer of 1959 I worked as a clerk-typist in the headquarters of the U.S. Public Health Service in Washington. One day, a man had a heart attack at around 5 p.m., on the sidewalk outside the Public Health Service.

“He was taken inside to the nurse’s room, where he was asked if he was a government employee. If he were, he would have been eligible to be taken to a medical facility there. Unfortunately, he was not, so a phone call was made to a local hospital to send an ambulance. By the time this ambulance made its way through miles of Washington rush-hour traffic, the man was dead.

“He died waiting for a doctor, in a building full of doctors.

“Nothing so dramatized for me the nature of a bureaucracy and its emphasis on procedures, rather than results.”

THE TRIUMPH OF FORM OVER FUNCTION.

I just finished sending a "you ain't gonna believe this" email to my boss...

I was off Friday and Monday... lotsa quality football to watch!

Yea...overnight? the local stomach bug nails me. hard. An entirely unpleasant multi-media experience.

Feel like garbage this morning.

sigh

Andy, expressions of sympathy are not the norm on this weather channel, except from So Fla and Reno.

Hoping for a fast and complete recovery from a CA bro.

Tommy doesn't write down his new year's resolutions... he just waits for the phone call to tell him what they are.

Cold and rainy here. Is it spring yet? I have gotten used to not seeing snow on the ground. I'll be disappointed when it snows again and covers up the grass. Winter is my least favorite season...

Hope everyone had a great day!
