Good Morning CGs!

A little after midnight here so it's officially Saturday. We've had craptastic weather the past few days. Extra cold for spring and we had a wintery rain/snow mix Thursday night. Can't wait for actual spring.

Plan on taking Mom to breakfast this morning as a belated birthday celebration. She was out of state visiting my sister on her actual birthday so the kids have her presents and want to take her out. And who doesn't like breakfast?

TB, sounds like you're making good progress on the remodel.

Tommy, here's my new "Mattco" ratchet....what do you think?

Hope everyone has a great day!

You kidding me? One time in my life I'm up this early (late?) and come in here to start the thread early and Matt gets in the door first lol!
I want the ratchet. My birthday is in May, hint hint. :D
Had an amazing 5 hour nap - hit the couch about 6 or so, got up around 11 and I'm up and ready to go. This will totally screw up my entire weekend.
Well that and the fact that the low was like 30 and we are due for snow flurries and low again for 30 .
Medicaid review still going on for my cousin in the nursing home and I'm having issues getting paperwork from metlife over a thirty cent an month pension. Seriously... thirty cents a month. Hour and a half on the phone and RESEND of POA documents just so I can get what I need to send to Medicaid along with a conference call between them, me and her in her nursing home room. Me and my congressman are due for a lunch date to discuss.
Have a great day y'all

Our friendly mason is over today laying out a new front deck in stone. The stone was free. Just paying for the install and material. Sue picked up the stone last week. Somehow this project got bumped to the top of the list.

Greetings! It's gonna be sunny and a blistering 31 today, which is only about 25 degrees below average for this time of year. The snow should be gone by August, I'm thinking. Meanwhile, we're going over to a friend's to watch the Masters this afternoon.

Handy-lookin' ratchet, Matt. Give 'em hell, Letty. And nice deal, Tommy - stones ain't cheap, and letting someone else lay them is prudent. I think I'm still sore from when I did our paver patio several years ago.

Enjoy your day, Gurus!

This goes out to a guy named Matt from the Chicago area because "You Asked For It!". Here are a few mid project pics.

You just gave me an idea that I could do where I currently have tiny rocks in a flowerbed left from the previous homeowner that I hate like hell. I can get rid of them and do something like that instead. And I still want two palm trees. One in the back yard and another on the side of the house.
Matt I snoozed allright, and we went out shopping all day today and here it's only 8pm and I'm ready to go take another nap.
People here are mad - the big box stores and nurseries are all upset with having to scramble to save their plants. I took home a truck bed load from Lowe's today. I knew better than to take my butt in that place.

Evening guys....got around late this morning, 8am and was awakened by my phone going off...it was my buddy from up north letting me know he was half way here. The roads weren't too bad, I guess. Anyway he got here about an hour later, and we got the tools together and headed over to install the shower walls. We did the back wall and the foot end of the wall then broke for lunch. After lunch we did the head end, installed the cut-in soap/shampoo caddy, the seat and two towel bars. By then it was 5pm. He loaded up his stuff and headed back home (2 hour drive).

I cleaned up, then Rosie and I made it to church. It is Prom night here and #2 GS is wearing my tuxedo and borrowed our Caddy, so after church we went out to the Promenade, where the couples are introduced...we took some pictures, he's really growing up.

The patio is looking good there Tommy. Nice ratchet, Matt. Thirty cents, Letty? That's ridiculous! Gris, glad the show wasn't a bust. Brad, savor that heatwave.. :-) Marcus, it WILL turn to spring eventually....

Have a great evening guys.

Oh, I told the client (and now her sister is there) that we are making slow progress, but we are making progress and she tells me she thinks we are making big progress, and is very happy with where we are.
