I'm gauging interest for a Vette cruise-in sometime this year within a reasonable radius of the Hickory NC area. There's a beautiful little town just 10 or so miles west of Hickory. It's scenic and historic Valdese NC. It just so happens that I work there too. And the hot rod shop I work at has a great re pore with the town leaders. There are also any number of great little local eateries close by. Anyhow, if there were sufficient interest from those fairly close to here, I'd be more than happy to help put something together.
A national Guru cruise-in would be great too and I hope it comes to be as well.. But only a small fraction of members could attend anything like that. Bogus has indicated an interest in regional gatherings and I concur. I think this year is a good time to start. And I hope each of the regional sections will be organizing a few of them very soon. |

I'd love to go but it would take me 17 hours to get there. Maybe I'll go to
the 3rd annual Western North Carolina Valdese get together. By then I wont be punching a time clock.  |

Possibly, we could make it. I had an idea for a get together down in Atlanta at the year one experience in May. We could meet up there and oogle the other cars too along with all the racing.

It's possible for me.....I am within easy cruising distance. My son would also probably be interested in driving his there as well. Keep the info updated as to when.

This is an old thread, but a favorite topic of mine since I fantasize about taking my Vette on a road trip. It will have to wait until my car is back on the road again.... when... who knows? not soon, but soon enough.

Yeah, I figured it needed to be brought back up.
Once mine gets out of the shop the wife and I will probably be cruising up to the Asheville area atleast one weekend when we don't have the kids. |
