Good Morning Gurus!

Back at work today, with a bunch of stuff to catch up on. Missing yesterday was not a good thing. So I'm off to the grind!

How's everybody doing today?

Weekend plans?

I have tickets to see Disney's Finding Nemo on Ice. uh....w00t, I guess...

My daughter's Junior prom is tonight. She doesn't have a date, but she and a couple friends are gonna go have fun. I'm a little nervous, but she's got a good head on her shoulders. I'm not supposed to expect her in until 3:30 am. Wonder if I'll sleep at all....

oh, gee... just think about your prom and you will turn into a nervous wreck. At the same time, you survived it... and I am sure you have enbued her with your instincts, so, all is well.

Let the girl have some fun.

My sister's 12 years older than me, and always got stuck babysitting me. She was pretty sure she was gonna have to drag me to prom - LMAO!

Meanwhile, I'm high from snorting Brake-Kleen. Good lawd, I'd forgotten what a dirty job brake work is. The rears are just about done, gonna start on the fronts tonight. I want to finish up tomorrow so we can drive the Vette to a friend's party.

Don't worry, I won't keep her out too late. I'm responsible. J/K. I hope she has a good time with her friends.

Anything else new and exciting with anyone?

I have a friend at work who has been bit by the corvette bug after seeing mine last year. Spring is here and he's asked me to help him find a C3. I'm no C3 expert, but I'm always willing to learn more! Any good advice from anyone? Is there a good C3 guide like Bogus' C4 guide?

Hope everyone has a good day!

Matthew

I never went to any proms. Nobody asked me, and I was too shy to ask anyone. So there.

Honestly, I'm not really worried about her, as far as what she'll do. I'm more worried about her being in a car late at night with all the drunken high-schoolers bouncing around.

Good mornin'!

I'm watching Magnum. It's the one where TC gets shot down and goes into a coma - I've never seen this one. Higgins also gets shot when he gets close on the trail. And there's a guy pretending to be TC's brother. Magnum looks like he's found some evidence while scuba diving, and the fake brother has just pulled a knife on him. Oh, the drama!

Mental Health day for me.

I'm finally going to work on my rear suspension today.

For most of you that don't know (me), I'm working on my 1971 Chevelle Convertible. I put in a very trick "Pro Touring" suspension/brakes up front a few months ago, but the rear coilovers have been sitting in the trunk ever since.

I hope to finish this weekend, hopefully with time to spare to go fishing!

Cheers everyone!

Andy, I have to disagree. This is a much different world. Until you have fathered children you'll never understand the reasonings......

Junior Prom......Home at 1:00 AM. Period.

Shes still in your charge until the 18th birthday.

Another busy day at work. Taking a little lunch break. I think I have a date with my wife Saturday night. She said we have a babysitter. Now to see what she has planned.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Well, since I now have to wait my turn on the CNC Milling Machine, here's some I had posted over on the Chevelle board...

Before: This was a few months ago with stock suspension.
Resized Image

Current: This is now with: SC&C SC-AFX package, SC&C/SPC new LCA’s, Alston/Chassisworks front coilovers, and Baer front and rear discs installed.

Obviously, I’ve also added a new hood, and if you peek closely you can spot the electric cut-outs. Also recently added, but not visible: Flowmaster 3” exhaust (header to tailpipe) w/ Pypes 3” oval stainless tips, Hydratech Hydroboost.

Still in boxes in the garage: Classic Auto Air system, Alston/Chassisworks rear coilovers, Currie rear arms. After I get all the rest of my goodies in, I get to tear the car down to send her in for paint. Wish me luck!
Cheers-
Nelson V.

I love Rockford Files too.

Since I'm off on Fridays, if I'm home, I like to take advantage of one of our local channels. It used to be:
1:00: Quincy, ME
2:00: Hawaii 5-0
3:00: Rockford Files
4:00: Mission Impossible

They've replaced Rockford with Magnum which I didn't like the change cuz I can get Magnum on other channels, and they don't do MI anymore. But I can still MI on another channel at 5p, something called American Life Channel or something like that.

I'm watching 5-0 right now.
