Well hello all.

How is the day so far? Should be a good one for me. Today starts my weekend I plan on toying with the vette a little and installing my used (new to me) stereo that I hope I like better than the one in there now. Other than that once it warms up I need to cut the grass. Then it's crack a cold one and get some shut eye.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Matthew

Sounds like a good plan Mat. I'm off today too. Had some toe surgery last evening so I'm off my feet today. I can follow your prescription for the day to a T. Except for the part about working on the vette and mowing the grass.....hahaha>>> crack open a cold one and watch tv I guess. Don't worry, I wait 'till afternoon for the beer.

Well, our company paid for a full day of closed course driving, we serpentined through cones at varied spacing at 40-50-60kmh on dry then wet surfaces, did some emergency braking tests both with and without ABS, did some 80kmh emergency avoidance maneuvers, then finally they took us thought the entire proving grounds with the finally being a few laps around the 29-degree banked oval track at 210kmh....

We drove Opal GT's, Opal Corsa, Opal Astra and a car that looked like the Chevy SKY and a small Audi car as well.

Boy did I learn a lot.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere. :angel9:

LD85 - how did your laptop hold up on the flights?

It should be a nice quiet day in the office to catch up on things. I've got a short conference call later and then a webcast to watch. Easy peasy.

LD -

Es sieht aus wie Deine Reise war noch wunderbar! Ganz nette Fotos.

I am jealous. All I did today was cut the lawn and put my radio in. I wanna go to Germany. It's not fair. I'll ask my wife if she'll take me after work. Maybe we can have some beer when we get there (well, I'll have to drink hers since she's preggo)

And yes, thanks everyone for the subtle hints that I'm an alcoholic. Remember, it's about midnight on my body's clock. So stuff it...but in a good way

Well, I'm gonna eat some "lunch" and hit the sack.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Matthew

Thanks for sharing those pics of Germany LD. I was stationed there from 1974 to 77. I lived in several small villges around Ramstein. I watched fireworks over Heidleberg Castle, walked the cobble stone streets and drank delicious white wine along the banks of many rivers. I traveled through much of the country when I was there. Maybe I'll go back one day. Guten tag!

I actually know what that is. I saw this guy, named Big Gerry, once playing one at a street fair in Reno, NV.

Neat, unique sound. I actually even bought a couple of his CDs.
