I commute via train into downtown Philadelphia, but my wife did drive me to our local train station in the 2003 'vert (she's off Fridays in the summer).

We had the top down and the exhaust had that wonderful burble.

Anybody else marking this day by driving one of these amazing cars to work?

What the hell, you talked me into it. Although I've been driving it less and the Nissan more to save money, this'll be the third day this week I drove it to work. It's 13 miles each way and all but a mile is country, so it's a pleasant drive.

You'll be glad you did. I have to go to the Credit Union today about that many miles too. Out comes the 90.

Can't drive a busted-ass car. Oh well.

This was not a post designed to make you feel bad - I've been watching your issues with much sympathy (there have been a couple times that the 1985 has really gotten me down).

You mean it's not all about me?!

It's ok. I still have a sense of humor about it all. I didn't mean to come across as miserable. Just not enough coffee yet!

I drive mine to work every day until winter. But today is a golf tournament day, so I'll just be with y'all in spirit (but I'm driving the Vette anyway).

I did. What a nice treat! Sure beats the GMC Safari cargo van.

Saw two C5s on my way to work. No waves though.

In the parking lot at work at various times I have seen a Black C5 Coupe, a '92 Vert (white/red auto) and a plastic bumper C3 Vert painted dark metallic green.

NONE of them are here today. At least not yet...

Yeah but I've been driving it about everyday with my truck needing a new brake booster and my bike needing a new chain. Now if only the ass-clowns at napa can get there act together and track down this part that they claim is in stock, somewhere....
