Both could be power, neither could be.

However, if they are, they should move fore/aft and up down with little more than an electric motor whine....

Its so simple. On the pic below it tells you which side your tank is on to fill up. If yours is on the right the gas hose extends to the right, if its on the left, it extends to the left. I never knew this! No more guessing when driving a new vehicle!

I'm glad the Vette is ambidextrous. But see, this still confuses me. In the gauge pics, if the hose on the little pump points to the right for example, that'd tell me that I should be on the left side of the pump and vice-versa. Somebody over-thought this and came up with a solution worse than the problem, IMO.

Clearly this is concidered the "BEFORE TIME" to which they invented the gas pump icon.

A couple of cars I've had/driven had little arrows that pointed to which side the filler was on. I always thought it was a neat little feature.

A better idea is to let someone else drive the car when it needs gas.

I just drive with the gas door open everywhere so I can see it in the mirror. Saves time.

And if I park on the wrong side I do this:

This PT Cruiser Convertible I have as a rental has a big fat arrow, but being blonde..... of course... I still pulled up to the WRONG side of the pump got out, couldn't find the gas door, had to get back in the thing, move the car around all while being laughed at.

Don't take it personally. They weren't laughing at you because you pulled up on the wrong side of the pumps. They were laughing because you were driving a PT Cruiser.
:well:
Hopefully you'll be driving the Vette again very soon.

I think not. I've seen nothing from you that would perpetuate that stereotype.
