I am having problems with the side windows. I can actually move the glass with my hands on both sides, the passenger side moves more than the driver side. They both leak, but the passenger side is worse. Any body have any suggestions on the fix for this. Thanks for any help.

Could be the regulators or the pads, hard to tell without taking the door panels off and having a look. If it needs more than just an adjustment, Corvette Recycling sells full rebuild kits with regulators, pads and outer seals - the kit was around $300 if I recall. They also sell parts individually - I picked up a set of pads for about $30.

Loose side to side or pushing in & out?

Loose in & out can be fixed by adjusting or replacing 2 felt pads in the door, and by replacing the rubber seal on the outer side. This will also help with leaks by keeping the glass tighter against the weatherstrip.

You can also adjust the glass where it mounts to the regulator to get a better seal. First make sure the door hinges aren't sagging, that could be to blame. Does the belt line on the car line up with the door slightly ajar?

Slop side to side is either a loose regulator or loose were it attaches to it.

I would be surprised if the windows weren't pretty sloppy to begin with straight off the assembly line.

I replaced my outer door seals last week along with adjusting the felt pads since I had the panels off. It made a huge difference in how the window closed.

Yea, what CC said.
Especially the felt pads, I'll bet they're shot, mine were and I replaced them with the seals. I actually had to adjust the glass looser so the door would close. The pads are avaliable & cheap.
No water leaks.

Additionally, if the felt wears too much, the metal bracket will scratch the glass.

And if the felt comes loose, there's some nasty sharp edges inside the door assembly for the glass to scrape on too.

I bought the regulator for ~$100. They have that kit on sale for $300

So the outer seal and the inner felt pads are worth $200?

I'm missing something. Are they selling both sides for $300?

It's both sides and it's $250.

^^that is a hell of a deal.

If I needed the driver side again, I'd buy that package and do both sides.

x-fire, it might also be that the window stop guides are broken. Here's a write-up I did if you want to look into it:

I replaced the pads and OMG, it made such a difference. They were tight. I am about to do the inner seals and outer seals. If it gets tighter than now, damn. They do not budge with just replacing my felt pads. BTW, I got them from corvette recycling and they are the real deal!

I got my outer door seals from corvette recycling. One had a little kink in it, but they are NOS and for the price I couldn't beat it.

BTW, if it gets too tight, you can loosen up the pads a little.

One problem though, is tight felt and window seals will cause the plastic ribbon to break. This happened to me.

Then your $40 window tightening will turn into a $250 window regulator upgrade. So don't get carried away with snugging it up.
