Took my car in to have the oil analyzed. Since they were doing that, I had them change it. The place I took it to, recommended AMSoil, I went with it.
Today I took a small drive after I filled up. 50 miles, mostly highway, but some city mixed in. My mileage was 20.4. I didn't get on it, but I've done this in the past and the best I'd end up with is 17 mpg. The only real change since the end of last year is the oil.
The car must be running pretty good to get 20 mpg.
I'm happy.

That is what I run in our car and truck. I also run amsoil filters. I wouldn't hesitate to put it in anything else I own. Also you can run extended oil change intervals. No need to change every 3K miles.

Amsoil is a very high quality company and they make a lot of very good products. They have oils and filters for almost anything and I would highly recommend them as well.

Amsoil in all my vehicles. Good stuff. Even have the manual transmission fluid. If you become a prefered customer you can buy it online. My only gripe is a yearly membership fee. If you don't keep up with it annually, its like the oil cost more when you order it.

I don't run amway oil in my car. I run what's on the shelf, same for beer.

This last time I put in Rotella diesel oil with some STP zddp additive and the biggest delco filter that fits.

Amsoil and Amway are different companies.

I knew you were joking.

I'm just more than a little surprised that I seem to be getting better mileage, and that's the only change.

most of our ZR-1 Brethren were using mobli 1.
but with their additive changes, most all have switched
to amsoil and bosch filters.

there's my 2 cents

I run Amsoil AMO in my ZR-1 because of the zinc additive. Its expensive, so the Z is the only one that gets it.

Yeah they have an oil with a lot of Zinc which is great for flat tappet engines.

Cool, I run Amsoil AMO in my 72 for the zinc content as well.

I have been using Amsoil products in my Vette since I bought it. I think it is part of the reason my engine was so clean at 150k miles when I rebuilt it.
