I hardly ever get to fly. Other than today, the last time I flew was July of 2001. Not long before 9/11.

I probably have less than twenty flights total under my belt, so it's still a bit of an adventure for me.

All my flights have been rather mundane, but today, about half way into our flight, somewhere over Kansas, I looked out the window and saw another Northwest airliner not half mile away!!! I want to say a quarter mile, but that should be impossible...

Is that normal? If we were headed NE, then they were maybe headed due West. I've never seen another plane in the air while I was wheels up before. Kinda freaked me out a little. I could see windows and some details of the plane.

Anyone else got stories?

I'll read them after I land in Grand Forks... Not before.

I think your aircraft is one of those yellow dots. http://gizmodo.com/5055160/24-hour-ai ... orld-blows-minds-eyeballs

Good job on the Hydra boost!!! I still have the unit you sent me, and I picked up the right master cylinder. I still need to get the fittings and lines as per your list. One thing your notes don't point out is how many beers does it take to get the vacuum booster bolts out?

I stopped a gas leak around the right rear muffler by changing out the right rear fuel return hose then checked the timing. I’m ready to take her out for a test run as soon as it stops raining.

Fired the Vette up Saturday, did a walk around and found something leaking around the right muffler. I shut her down and found the right rear fuel return line hose leaking. So now I have a new spring project. It looked like the 36 yr old hose was cracking, so I ordered all new hoses and clamps from the good Dr. R. Hope they get here before this week end.

Alright here we go,
On the coupe I finished installing the front suspension and the new dewitt radiator, plus need to finish detailing the engine bay. Going to remove the AC evaporator & housing and the heater core and clean up everything then install the new heater core. While I have the evaporator out I'll remove the exhaust manifolds and change all the plug wires then clean up and re install the exhaust manifolds at that point I'll have had my mind made up and decide on whether to get the loud or quite side exhaust (69) style then install them.
Sometime after that I'll rebuild the steering assy.
Once this is finished I'll move to the ass end and start in there.
Now the convertible.
Let's put it this way, she needs a lot of work to.

Hi Greg,
Your going to love that Dewitt radiator.

Cool Pic!!! I love looking at old B&W photos like that. It reminds me of the smell of devloper, stop bath and fixer. :shaking:

I think there is an article in the 2007 fall edition of "Corvette Restores Magazine" about a Tangier Shriner Corvette and their Corvette Unit.

I wish I could take credit for the work. Who ever did the restoration on the body and interior did a great job. The engine, suspension and steering system needs lots of work. I can only work on her a little at a time due to my novice skill level and time restraints.
