They are missing a few cars from that list. 1 being the camaro. It did not make a come back for no reason! Anyway, there are other cars that should be on there. Yeah the rustang kinda deserves to be there but it was very surprising not to see the camaro.

I'm sure glad I have a 90 and 91 and not one of those inferior 70s or 80's cars.

The part that got me was the roaring in of the C5
The '97 C5 came roaring in with a whopping 9,752 units
compared to the '84 with 51,547 units. Meow

Roaring? The 85 Corvette was the fastest American car in existence at the time, the 84 might have been too.

And it still runs with most of the imported "sports cars" of today.

Compare time... the 84 sold for 18 months, unchanged. the 97 not even 6 months, IIRC, before the 1998 came out.

OK Andy take the whole production run from 1998+1997
for a total of 32,541 units. You would still have to add half of 1999 production to equal the 1984 production.
Now we are comparing apples to apples.

All I'm saying, it wasn't the C5 that saved the Corvette from "suffering long fallow periods" as stated by the author:bee:
