Back from our trip east. GS finished 12th in his race, team finished 1st so he brings home 2 medals. It actually warmed up quite a bit, was 91 when we got to the location of the race. but has cooled off pretty good, back into the upper 70s by the time we got home.

66 isn't that old, Tommy, no real need to think thoughts like those....but admit, I do sometimes too. Rosie's Brothers wife sent a text out yesterday, that her 64yo brother passed on Tuesday. We'll head back to central Kansas on Sunday for wake service and Funeral Monday.

I should make a list, lol. I have no kids, just Arron and if I go before him, he won't know what to do with stuff. Heaven forbid he sells my larges bittersweet L.E. Smith swung vase for $25 when it's worth $500, I'd roll over in my grave lmao. Seriously tho, we need to sit down and get a plan in place.

Good Morning CGs!

Another cold day here, jeans and sweatshirt weather.

Tommy, I think about things like that on a pretty regular basis. Some people view it as morbid but I see it as a realistic approach to life. I keep building my collection of items as I go. Eventually I will have to start the opposite. Like a pendulum. I don't want my kids to have the burden of eliminating all of my worldly possessions. Although RR#1 wouldn't mind the cars

I still didn't completely close the pool. I'm not as dedicated as you are to yard work.

Hope everyone has a great day!

IT'S SUNNY AND A COLDISH 50 DEGREES ON THE FRONT PORCH, PREDICTED HIGH OF 80. THE CHEROKEES ARE LIKING THIS.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA BUT THE LONG DELAYED TRIMMING. I HEAR THE WONDERDOG CALLING FOR HIS BREAKFAST AND I MUST GO :-)

ONE DAY AT A TIME, Y'ALL, IT WON'T BOTHER YOU WHEN YOU'RE DEAD.

Morning ya'll - Tommmy, I"m not sure how old you are but I"m 53 and I've been thinking of things like that for years. I often think of where I'll be when my health declines, and after dealing with nursing homes, I flatly refuse that. I'll put a cap in it before that happens I think. I'm one of those you mention that nobody checks on, looks in on etc, I live mostly by myself. I know I techinically live with Arron however he's hardly there. Those that do reach out to me want to borrow money or need help with something and that's bout it. I often wake up at night thinking of these things, all my life's failures and regrets. My neurologist calls it "end of life depression" and says theres no reason I should be thinking these things. Can't help it. On brighter news it's beautiful here today, although cold, due to warm up to around 80. Perfect. Hoping for a slow day at the office today, didn't sleep well so not in the mood for bs today. Rather just sit here and try to find the end of the internet. Fingers crossed I make the congressman's secretary happy so we can get that project off and done. I have a new pool truck here so that's to start. Third one from them in a month. That must be where the money is.

Morning Tommy....I hope you finally got to sleep. Morning to the rest of you folks. Another cool morning here, upper 40s, headed to the low to mid 80s.

I have some work in the shop this morning, then right after lunch we will head east a couple hours to watch #3 GS run in his XC meet.

It's 1:09 Eastaern Standard time. I took a long nap this afternoon. As a result of that and now having an active mind I was unable to fall asleep. Thinking of all kinds of unanswerable questions. Thinking about and who will take care of things when we're gone. If I go who will care of Sue and our final disbursements. Sue and I both want to be cremated and our ashes to share the same resting place. Not necessarily in a cemetary. Sonny-boy will shun the responsibility but we do have a stepson. Not a legal stepson but one we helped raise none the less and we have treated as a stepson all our lives. I think of people that were dead in their dwellings for years. Unfound because nobody looked in on them. Nobody checked on them. Nobody cared about them. My circle of friends is starting to look more like a slice of pie. The inevidable thinning of the house is soon to come and we'll start reducing our overblown inventory of unneeded and unnecassary items.(Though we have talking about reduction for years now.) Have to do it while I'm still healthy. But first I'm gonna have one more year to play with my toys. Hopefully I'll use the boat more. Drive the cars more. Enjoy life more, not that we don't do that now but make room for more. Living for me is easy. It's the phase after that I have to deal with by doing a little more planning.

Thanks for listening. (reading) Dammit. I'm still not tired yet.

NO TRIMMING TODAY, SHOULDER HURTING TOO MUCH TO WRESTLE THAT TRIMMER. EITHER I SLEPT ON IT WRONG OR IT'S THE COLD FRONT EXACERBATING ARTHRITIS. MOWED DOWN THE HIGH SPOTS IN THE OBSTACLE COURSE INSTEAD. TURNED OUT LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.

GOT THE TOMATO BACK ON THE CHEAP, DID NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THE SENDING UNIT. HE WAS ABLE TO REPAIR IT. HOPE IT HOLDS.

Started my day as a golf cart repair man, next was a water feature cleaning man, then a part delivery person and now a lawn and yard maintenance specialist. I hear thunder nearby. Might get a repreive from yard work. Have one guy in the back at the home nursery cleaning up and weeding the pots. The fun just never ends.

Brought the 91 headlamp motors to the shop. I told the shop owner "Why don't you take the 91 to Fast Lane Fridays to test it out? " 1/8 mile test and tune. He shook his head no.

Good Morning CGs!

Happy first day of fall. Yes, hard to believe, right? Chilly here and the rain continued overnight. Makes it inconvenient to close the pool and cut the grass. Oh well.

Tool sales have picked up this week after a lethargic month overall. That is always a plus.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning everyone - congrats grandpa Marcus! beautiful baby!
Fall weather here this morning, 40's projected low tonight i think then temps climb back up. I do not like fall, it's often very hot outside and then you want to get in the pool and the pool is 68*. I need a pool heater but at a quote of ten grand that's not gonna ever happen. I can buy a car with that or something else I need more. got a trailer coming at 11, have another dodge 3500 quad utility out there waiting on me, and a sh*t ton of stuff to do for our congressman for some event he's having, keeping the owner stressed with tons of install work.
Y'all have a good day

Morning guys...brisk here this morning, 42 now but headed to the upper 70s, maybe low 80s today. Had the windows open and it's 60 right now in the living room. Might have to lower the windows a bit at night from here on out.

I few things to do in the shop... thought my lumber truck was coming yesterday, but the stuff I ordered, wasn't ready, so now I wait another 2 weeks. So soome things I thought I'd do, will have to wait.

Hey guys, up and around and out to the shop. did a couple extra things for a couple ladies who "rejuvenate" old furniture. And, NO, I'm NOT referring to ME. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Been a nice cool day here...down to 48 this morning and only 72 for a high this afternoon.

I probably need to think about new shocks on the pickup, it seems to be riding much rougher lately so, they are probably shot.

PRESS RELEASE:
First race in southern California for mid-engine Corvette C8.R

CORVETTE RACING AT LONG BEACH: Southern California Street Fight

· First race in southern California for mid-engine Corvette C8.R
· Milner, Tandy coming off GTLM victory at Laguna Seca
· All four Corvette Racing drivers with previous Long Beach victories

DETROIT (Sept. 21, 2021) – Corvette Racing’s mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette
C8.R has been on a global tour since its debut in January 2020. It has raced
at racetracks throughout North America, plus Belgium and France since then.

Now the Corvette Racing program is set to make its return to southern
California this weekend for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s
Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach – postponed from its traditional spring date
due to COVID-19.

Long Beach is the second street circuit event of the season for Corvette
Racing, following the Chevrolet Sports Car Challenge in June at Detroit’s
Belle Isle. Tommy Milner and Nick Tandy teamed for a GT Le Mans (GTLM)
victory there in a non-points outing in the No. 4 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Corvette
C8.R, and the pair is coming off a win at Laguna Seca two weeks ago up the
coast in Monterey.

Second went to GTLM Drivers Championship leaders Antonio Garcia and Jordan
Taylor in the No. 3 Mobil 1/SiriusXM Corvette. The duo has four wins on the
season and five pole positions, plus a runner-up finish at the 24 Hours of
Le Mans. The combined efforts have Chevrolet in the Manufacturers
Championship lead.

All four drivers have previous victories at Long Beach. Milner and Taylor
each of three while Garcia and Tandy have one each.

Chevrolet on Display at Long Beach
The return of Corvette Racing and Chevrolet to Long Beach will carry extra
flare with the inclusion of the Chevrolet Motorsports Display to the event
weekend. Located inside the Long Beach Expo Center, the Chevrolet
Motorsports Display will be open to fans throughout the weekend and will be
full of Chevrolet vehicles that spectators can learn more about during a
busy event.

The Chevrolet Motorsports Display opens at 8 a.m. Friday through Sunday.
Numerous Chevrolet vehicles and other highlights include:

• A 2022 Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition coupe
• A 2022 Corvette Stingray convertible
• Additional Chevrolet products such as the 2020 Blazer, 2021 Camaro 1LE and
2021 Silverado Trail Boss
• A special display with various Corvette Racing artifacts
• An opportunity to receive a Corvette T-shirt

Corvette Racing will contest the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on Sept.
24-25 from the Long Beach Street Circuit in Long Beach, Calif. Live
television coverage will air live on NBCSN at 5 p.m. ET on Sept. 25 with
live streaming coverage on TrackPass and NBC Sports Gold. Live audio
coverage from IMSA Radio will be available on IMSA.com, XM 202 and SiriusXM
Online 992.

ANTONIO GARCIA, NO. 3 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: "I think
there are a few things we can transfer from Detroit to Long Beach. In a way,
there are some similarities and those are mainly the walls! The track
surface and the way the circuit is laid out is a little different. We need
to work a little bit and look at some past race data. I'm sure we will come
up with a good setup to start. It won't be the first time for the C8.R on a
street circuit, so that's a good start. We can learn a lot from that.

"I've led in the Hairpin two years in a row and didn’t win either time!
Those are memories that you sometimes have - which races you've won and
which ones you've lost. Especially the way we lost those races will probably
stick in my head for a long time! A win there would definitely help
forgetting about those moments."

JORDAN TAYLOR, NO. 3 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: “Detroit was
a good lesson for us to have that weekend and understand what the C8.R is
going to be like on a street course. Long Beach is always a different
animal. It’s always difficult there with how limited the track time is and
keeping up with the track evolution. The Corvette guys have had so much
history there that we can understand how the track will develop so focus on
the car itself and what the drivers need. I have a lot of confidence. Long
Beach is always super-intense. I’ve been there many times in a prototype but
this is my first time in a GT class. It’s always looked like a proper street
fight in the GT classes so I’m sure it will be like that again this year, as
well.”

TOMMY MILNER, NO. 4 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: "Both Detroit
and Long Beach have track surfaces that are comparable. I think Long Beach
is a little more difficult because it used more as a public road throughout
the rest of the year, so it is quite dirty. As seems always the case, it's
very dirty and dusty, and we spend an hour of the first two-hour practice
cleaning the track. With Detroit under our belt – the first street race for
the C8.R – we can take some of those lessons, setup options and things we
tried to see how they carry over to Long Beach. Hopefully we can make the
most of an already compressed schedule and limited track time to get our
Corvette in a place that is comfortable for Nick and I."

NICK TANDY, NO. 4 MOBIL 1/SiriusXM CHEVROLET CORVETTE C8.R: "Long Beach is
always one of the events I look forward to most of the season. The actual
race is different in that it's a short race, a single stop and different to
what we normally do. The track is what I personally look forward to most.
It's a street circuit, yes, but it's quite different to some other street
tracks I've raced on before. You have that long open blast down Shoreline
Drive and some fast stuff in the middle sector as well. It's an enjoyable
track to try and get the car to the limit. We did have a good run at Detroit
in the No. 4 Corvette. We know the cars work well in this configuration.
It's been something I've looked forward to since our success at Detroit."

Corvette.

2007 –Corvette C6.R (2007-13) and Corvette C7.R (2014-2019). That number

• 6: Number of drivers who have competed at Long Beach for Corvette Racing –
Olivier Beretta, Antonio Garcia, Gavin, Jan Magnussen, Johnny O’Connell and

Jordan Taylor and Nick Tandy
• 7: Number of Long Beach victories in 12 appearances for Corvette Racing –

IndyCar wins, and Chevrolet has claimed 20 victories in the event’s two
premier races.

2001.
• 18: Number of street circuit victories for Corvette Racing – more than any
other IMSA entrant at the circuit.

• 3,650.62: Number of racing miles completed by Corvette Racing in its 12
previous trips to Long Beach. That represents 1,855 laps around the
1.968-mile street circuit.
• 330,966.34: Total number of racing miles completed by Corvette Racing
since its inception. To put that in perspective Apollo 13 – the longest
manned spaceflight in history – covered “just” 248,655 miles when it went it
orbited the moon. Simply put, the program has raced to the moon… and then
some.

Good morn. Have to pick up the office computer and download the back up's software then bring it back and hook it up again. After that we shall see what my hands pick up. Motivation is the key. Fuel pump was bad on the 91 and one front caliper was locking up on the brakes. Told them to go through the brake sysytem and see what it needs. Waiting on two sets of head lamp actuators for the 90 and 91 Corvettes. Finally gonna pay the shop for the labor to replace them and install a new speed sensor that I have for the 90. I'm happy they will install my parts and just charge me for labor. I have too much stuff to do to be playing with that stuff right now. Nephew is getting married this weekend. Going to Bradenton for the first time since my mother's funeral almost 3 years ago. Tempus fugit.

good morning - beautiful here but muggy, when I left for work I saw why, very dark clouds coming in over town, rain due in off and on today, got to work before it hit. Have to high rise Sprinter vans to get ready for print today, hoping that's about it. Saw an email about a couple of trailers but that's in quote process at the moment.
Needing to get a quick vaca booked for mid October - thinking Redneck Riviera (Pensacola area), that we can drive to and still be at a beach. Never been there in Oct hoping we can dodge storms.
Not much happened yesterday, took advantage of some sun and warm pool water and just sat around. Just sitting around entailed four loads of laundry, vacuuming, mopping, shampooing a rug, dusting and I managed to get in 10,000 steps for a "sitting around" day. Not too shabby, aiming for gym tonight if I feel like it later.
Marcus - grandchild? Pics? Congrats!!

Good morning Gris!
We’ve been getting the rain here for a couple days now. I’m hoping it’ll reinvigorate some of the brown areas, but I’m not holding my breath.
Nothing on the schedule today except a bit of domestic activity.
Have a great day Gurus.

OVERCAST AND COOL IN THE NATIONS, 62/87 AT 0808 HRS. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO RAIN LAST NIGHT BUT DIDN'T, LOOKS LIKE THAT'S NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION YET.

NOTHING ON THE AGENDA BUT A COUPLE OF ERRANDS. DARLING WIFE, HOWEVER HAS A HAIR APPOINTMENT/COMMUNITY INTEL BRIEFING. HAIR DRESSER IS ALSO 911 OPERATOR :-) KNOWS ALL, TELLS ALL.

PAST TIME FOR NEW SHOCKS ON THE TRUCK, TOLD THE WRENCHMEISTER TO ORDER ME SOME MORE BILSTEINS, THESE HAVE BEEN GOOD FOR ABOUT 55K MILES. I REMEMBER BILL H SAYING SHOCKS START TO GO AFTER 20K, SO THIS SET HAS DONE WELL.

Sounds like a good concert, Tommy.

Tried to get in a good workout today but could only muster up some cardio. Back to lifting tomorrow.

Sold a few tools today which was nice after a dry spell the past few weeks.

Hope everyone had a great day!

A PRETTY MORNING IN THE NATIONS, GOT OUT EARLY AND TOOK THE TOMATO IN FOR GAS GAUGE FIX, STILL HAVE AUTO ROTATION TO GO.
THE BUMBLEBEE GOES IN THE READY RACK.

NEED TO TRIM SOME SHRUBBERY AND MAY GO GET A KUNG FLU BOOSTER THIS AFTERNOON.

IF A GENERAL CALLS THE ENEMY AND PROMISES TO WARN THEM IF WE PLAN TO ATTACK, HOW IS THIS NOT TREASON? THIS JERKOFF SHOULD BE HANDED HIS DISHONORABLE DISCHARGE AND THROWN OUT OF THE ARMY SO HARD HE BOUNCES, AT THE VERY LEAST. A FIRING SQUAD MIGHT NOT BE OUT OF PLACE. POLITICAL GENERALS ARE THE VERY LAST THIG THIS COUNTRY NEEDS.

Morning guys...North wind is howling and the temps are comfortable. Highs today in the upper 70s.

I've got a few things to do in the shop today. Other than that, not much on the agenda.

Sounds like a cool concert Tommy.

Santana concert was great complete with a light show and video throwbacks through the years and other video effects. I'll say one thing about Carlos. He's unfiltered. He says what's on his mind. One thing he said was funny as it was an older crowd. He said "This is like doing a show in an old age home. We're used to people getting up and dancing and having a great time." Lots of people, including me, were just sitting back and enjoying the show. The crowd did engage and loosened up a bit.

HOME FROM THE "BIG" SHOW, AND EVERYTHING PUT AWAY. GATE WAS OK FOR SUNDAY, PEOPLE WERE BUYING (JUST NOT WHAT WE WERE SELLING), BRINGING IN GUNS TO SELL. I WAS TEMPTED BY A VERY NICE MODEL 17 S&W, BUT COULDN'T GET HIM DOWN TO WHAT I WANTED TO PAY. SINCE I COULDN'T SHOOT IT IT WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE RE-SOLD. I SOLD A COUPLE OF BOOKS AND BOUGHT A VERY NICE 1.5X5 POWER LEUPOLD SCOPE AND RINGS AT A GOOD PRICE. SO THAT AND THE SAKO RINGS WERE MY WHOLE HAUL FOR THE SHOW.

HAD THE USUAL NUMBER OF VAMPIRES. IF THEY COULD SEE THEMSELVES IN A MIRROR THEY WOULDN'T GO OUT IN PUBLIC LOOKING THAT WAY :-)

CONGRATULATIONS, TEE.
NOW I CAN SAY I KNEW YOU BEFORE YOU WERE FAMOUS---

Hey guys, up and around and off to the church hall to set up for a meeting there. We had the State Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus here to talk about an amendment to the Kansas Constitution the people of Kansas will be voting on next August. Decent turnout of people coming over after Mass.

Came home and out two smaller roasts on the smoker for supper tonight.

Good afternoon y’all- quiet day here, been raining off and on all weekend . We’d planned to stay home in the pool but I guess that’s ruined for the rest of the year, this would’ve been the last weekend water was warm enough. We need a pool heater. It’s still hot out but nightly lows bring water temp down. Nursing home and errands Friday, we got out to flea market yesterday, I’m watching paint dry today on a couple outdoor tables. Need to find something to do. Hope everyone had a great weekend so far. Congrats on the win Tee

For sure, I have been checking out the modifications and tuning available for these. Both the 2.7 and 3.5 EcoBoost are capable of impressive power after tuning. Boost of any kind is easy power.

I might do a few basic bolt-ons. Cat back, catch can and air filter. Nothing that's going to void the warantee. I like the Corsa exhaust.... turbos whistle big tine but I also really like how quiet stock is.

My other daily driver the CTS-V has a B&B exhaust and its loud as heck.... do I really need that on both? Do my neighbors really need that every morning regardless of which vehicle I drive to work? Hard questions, I never would have asked when I was younger... LOL

Drove it a couple hundred miles to watch a race in southern Va yesterday. Mostly all hwy 75mph with very light traffic that was stop and go in a couple of spots. Anyway 23.8mpg average for the trip. Anytime I would go 80mph, i could tell it was dropping under 23mpg.

326miles on it and happy so far. Side steps and quad fold bed cover enroute.
Will

Hey guys, I headed off early to drive an hour south to watch GS #3 run in his XC meet. It was a little cooler today when they ran. He ran a personal best time in the 5k, a 20:42. His goal for this meet was 20:55. He said he was tired, but within a couple minutes of finishing was breathing normally as though he hadn't even run...He then told me, I guess I need to push myself even harder.

Back home and off to church.

Yes I guess it is official now, at least they added the

2021 C6 of the Year Winner - Unmodified

To my Avitar signature. I am humbled, Thank you.

I thought of you while I watched the game. Your team played well—Oklahoma is really good and they made them look average. A loss is a loss, but that was an encouraging loss.

Wildlife including hawks abound in my yard. Lizards, birds, squirrels and the occasional rat are all game for my two predatory mutts. Of to the casino overnight and seeing Carlos Santana this evening. Should be fun. Won't be around tomorrow so I'll catch up on Monday. Enjoy your weekend, gurus.
