Is there a way to get a build sheet for a 92 without paying the $40. I tried the dealer, and their computer will only fetch back to 98.

I always like to hear good news. Glad your car is running again.

If you disconected the battery and the light came on most likely its still reading a problem. If the light was not on before, the O2 sensor probably was saturated with the unburnt fuel. It can take awhile to burn out.

Then I would try the signal wire from the security box and make sure it has a pulse (voltage) when the lock button is pressed on the FOB. If so check the connections to the lock motors.

When I first got my car, the power locks wouldn't lock. The motor was working. I took the door panels off and lubed the linkages. It took a while to work them free, but they are working now. I used WD-40 to clean them, then I used white lithium to lube them.

Make sure the motors are trying to lock the doors when using the FOB. If so try to relube the linkages.

I wouldn't recommend the letting go of the wheel situation. As Matt said when the car kicks right, steer right. Then let out, and straighten out. This should feel more natural too.

Mine is a left turn. This intersection has a real steep entrance. I take the inside lane and turn at an angle very slow. Since I am then further left then I should be it makes it a sharper turn, so I crank the wheel and goose it.

Last time the wife was with me she wasn't expecting it. I received a few lashings. It was worth it.

Thanks, I'll call the dealer tomorrow.

People think that since you drive a Corvette that you have money. I tell them that since I drive a Corvette I don't. There is always something else to buy.

I need the p/n or a place to find the clip that holds the throttle cable to the fuel rail cover. Its been broke for a while, and doesn't look good with that cable loose.

I have wiped them down since the picture, but yes they are in the thought process. I might keep the brown, since that is the color of the interior.

Its a 92. I have had the injectors serviced off car a few months back. Charted with pressure and flow tests. It has new plugs and wires w/msd ignition, and I always fill up at the same gas station with 93. I am going to pull the rest of the plugs tonight.

Before my car was totally warm, it felt like there was a miss. Like a fouled plug. As the motor got warmer it was less and less noticable, and went away. This has happened twice, but it wasn't two times in a row. I have all new ignition parts. I have pulled three plugs so far and they all look good maybe a little on the lean side.

This might sound old school, but it may be the coil. They will quit when they are hot, and work when they cool down. When the car dies I would do a spark test.

I use 93. I've put in 87 before it ran fine, but it seems smoother with the 93.

I found this video interesting. It's the ZR1 video from Jay Leno's Garage. The VIN is #1, but it isn't blue.

It was the same diagnostic machine that is used for the alternator. There was a harness that was plugged into the ICM. If it was a parts store guy with a multimeter I would have been more skeptical.

I replaced mine with an MSD coil. They had them in stock, plus I knew that I was putting the MSD distributor on. Take the old ICM, to see if they can scan it for you.

It is best to replace the waterpump, since it will be off the car when replacing the opti. My next step would be to have the ICM (coil driver) checked. The parts store will do this for free. They take about ten minutes to remove.

A multimeter is cheaper than a code scanner. Also the parts store tested the ICM for me.

pull the coil wire and see if you have fire there. If not I would replace the ICM. It is mounted above the coil.

When I bought my car the previous owner had bought the ALDL modules from Killabrew, which makes it easy. I would of stuck to the paperclip method, and kept my money.

We solved mine with a spark plug and a multimeter. My FSM was at home, and my car had died at my friends about a half hour away.

I believe they are the same, but there is a brake pressure lens where the door ajar should be. Everything else looks correct.

In my 92 the instrument panel has been replaced with one from a 96. What lights are in different places. I know the brake pressure light is now where the door ajar light used to be. Also the wire colors that match each light. I want to correct it.
