That sucks big time. Happens in most communities all the time. Most people don't steal stereos anymore, it's dashboard gps systems around here. Best advice is to hide anything like that when you exit the car and lock your doors. My mom's car was burglarized about 2 years ago, some punk kids going through it because it was unlocked. They took some change and some keys (that's even scarier....) but the coppers found them later that night and actually called my mom because her work id was on her keychain. Sometimes it works out.

Did the coppers get any fingerprints or what's the deal?

$220 for a metal one is ridiculous. I paid $125 for my metal booster from piratejack.net.

Good morning CGs!

Ahhhh...back to the morning again! It is my day off, so here I am bright and early. I'm watching the rugrat this morning and she already is fussy. Doesn't like the bottle at all so since mom's at work she doesn't want to eat. Oh well. Tried mom's milk and formula and she doesn't want either. Oh well. She goes in the swing to sleep. When she's hungry, she'll eat. Wife doesn't understand that, but oh well.

We'll see how much time I get to work out and tinker with the car today. I had planned on running to the parts store, but I don't see that happening.

What's on everyone else's agenda for today? Any plans?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

THURSDAY CHAT JOKE OF THE DAY:

A little boy got on the bus, sat next to a man reading a book, and noticed he had his collar on backwards. The little boy asked why he wore his collar backwards.

The man, who was a priest, said, 'I am a Father.'

The little boy replied, 'My Daddy doesn't wear his collar like that.'

The priest looked up from his book and answered, ''I am the Father of Many.'

The boy said, ''My Dad has 4 boys, 4 girls and two grandchildren and he doesn't wear his collar that way!'

The priest, getting impatient, said. 'I am the Father of hundreds', and went back to reading his book.

The little boy sat quietly thinking for a while, then leaned over and said, 'Maybe you should wear a condom and put your pants on backwards instead of your collar.'

Wow, seems like there was a lot of activity in c4 technical the past day. Nice to see!

Chris - you were pretty darn close, so I'll give it to ya -

Doric, Ionic, Corinthian.

And the questions may be crazy, but you try coming up with a different trivia question every day. It's tougher than you think! I am still disappointed that no one else guesses. Oh well. I guess trivia may come to an end since no one else chooses to play along. We'll see. I know that Hot Chick Friday is still popular with the boys....

Anywho, that's it for me.

Good evening CGs!

How was everyone's day? Mine is over and I'm glad. Ready to relax and enjoy my weekend. Weather was a bit cooler today due to the hurricane action, which was a nice little break from 95*.

Gonna go get some grub and play with the rugrat.

Any news from anyone? Hope everyone had a great day.

I don't use any at all. Sometimes to help them slip on I just rub a little coolant on the inside of the hose. Makes it a little easier.

There is a vehicle speed sensor (VSS) on the trans that sends data for the speedometer. Sometimes the plastic gears go bad or could be an electrical connection problem. I'm not exactly sure where it's at, but I believe Bogus is familiar with this and should chime in.

I just got an email for breast enlargement creams. I can offer that in addition to the mail order bride suggestion.

On topic, though, I think Andy is right. He has put a lot of time in this, and we have a lot of growth potential. Although c4 guru was cool, there are going to be a lot of guys who move from the c4 to the c5/6/7(?) and will stick around. It is an asset to have it set up this way now, even if they are less active.

Good evening CGs!

How was everyone's first day back at work? It was another hot one here in Chitown.

Got my SLP runners from fedex today. I haven't opened it up, but I'm excited I also got the note from Rich/Jon that my injectors will be shipping out, too.

I'm off Thursday, and my buddy is supposed to come over and tinker on the vette with me. That is, of course, if the baby wants to cooperate since I've got her all day til mama comes home from work.....lol. I don't think I'll have time to get all of the intake/plenum work done, but I'm considering new rotors and bleeding the rear brakes. We'll see how much gets done.

And I was disappointed there were no guesses on yesterday's trivia....the answer was Seattle.

So how was everyone else's day???

Mine is leaking at the condenser - years of being abused bent up the top of the fins and caused a small leak. But if I'm gonna replace that ($120 from thepartsladi) I'll have to replace the other little things plus seals, etc, so I figure around $250 total. Of course it'll be cold a/c again, but it can wait until next year.

Oh come on....it's not just Z guys. It's many different generation corvette owners. When you see an enthusiastic new guy who says "hey, I bought my first corvette for $xxxx...it's an 85 with high miles, it needs a little work, but it's a corvette and I want to learn" the first thing you hear isn't "congrats" it's "that was stupid, you paid too much and you should have spent $4,000 more and got a better one...blah blah blah". I give anyone credit who buys a vette and is willing to put in some elbow grease and a little time to get it right.

Hey Rich - when the injectors are shipped, what is the shelf life before install? Aren't they sent in some type of solution? I seem to recall that if you leave untreated injectors out for too long they can go bad. Is that correct?

Joe, based on your fine detective skills, I've promoted you to the official rank of Corvette Detective.

Coffee and donuts will be served in the break room.

We should make smores! At least you have a sense of humor about it. Hope you get it all worked out. I wish I could help more, but I know zero about diagnostics on the LT1...I need to see it in front of me.

I don't know if it's better in cans or bottles, but that is the funniest video I've ever seen.
