Good morning.
It's a great day to generate some revenue. Whether it's going to work, doing a side job, picking up a few bucks at the casino or selling something. It's a good day to make some green.

Good Morning CGs!

On the agenda today is going back the the Sprint store...again...to get my phone fixed. Here's the timeline in case I didn't post it. About 3 weeks ago, the volume button on my 6 month old phone stopped working. Went to service center, they ordered me a "refurbished" replacement (no charge because of warranty). Several days later, new phone arrives. I go pick it up, new phone is bad out of the box, keyboard doesn't work. They reorder a "refurbished" replacement phone. It's on national backorder, so a one day time frame takes a week. Pick it up, all seems ok. On Friday of last week, tried to use the speakerphone....doesn't work. WTF. Went to the store on Sunday (yesterday) and guy opens phone, tries to replace the speaker portion of the phone...still doesn't work. Has to order me ANOTHER "refurbished" phone. Again on national backorder and about a week to get it. I get home last night, an hour after I was at the store. Now the phone speaker doesn't work at all...can't hear anything or transmit any sound. I'll give the store a chance to fix it this morning, otherwise Sprint is giving me a new phone. Period. I'm getting fed up. I'm pretty easy going, but I'm done with this.

Sooooooo...other than that, I need to get the right high side port adapter for the ac. Talked to the neighbor last night, he's supposed to bring home the vacuum pump and gauges for me tonight. We'll see if that gets done.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...I off to Wichita for my check up on the knee. No time for me to make any money today, but it was a nice thought Tommy.

Got to go, I have a four hour drive ahead of me.

Have a good drive Tom hope the Doc likes your progress on the knee.....

Did some work to the porch and installed some trim in the upstairs bedrooms my wife is redoing. I'm more of a framer then a trimmer type guy I find.

Yeah, I know what you mean on that one.

A couple of months back I walked into the local Verizon store to pay my bill. The "Child Manager" says,"Oh look you are eligible for an upgrade, you can get a Smartphone."

I reply, "And why would I want a Smartphone."

He responds cheerfully, "Oh they're fun !"

I explain,"I open my phone, punch in some numbers, talk, close the phone."

To which he says,"Well, you can get a better dumbphone."

No thanks.

It scares me to realize these are our future leaders.

Got the correct ac adapter today....figured out the problem with the one yesterday...the fitting was in the wrong cubbyhole of the fitting box - it was in the 3/8 box but actually 7/16. So got the right one and it fits.

On the phone with sprint right now trying to fix all of this nonsense.

Pete's already good for a street car driver.

http://www.corvetteguruforum.com/modu ... p?topic_id=17038&forum=55

This weekend he's going to learn the difference (a big one) between driving decent lines on a racetrack and going fast.

I should just go to the boatramp, the track and bed. Squeeze in my meals and shower when possible. Of course, if I started going to the boatramp and track all the time, before long I wouldn't have a bed.

We had garlic rolls, pizza and fried calamari for dinner tonight. I sport a full beard. Many of you know they refer to a mustache as a flavor saver. It appears that the most prevalent flavor saved this evening was the garlic and butter from the garlic rolls. Damned if they don't taste a whole lot better than they smell.

Well I'm back...almost nine hours of driving. The Dr. report is good. He says I am way ahead of the game, in every aspect. He was very impressed with my range of motion (0 to 140). He said most patients never see 140* and with that type of motion I should be able to do anything (within reason). I asked about more therapy, "You don't need therapy any longer". He explained my new knee and what he did while looking at my x-rays, told me he was happy to hear that I am riding my bike. Explained my pains, why I was having them and that they would go away soon. Normally he has his patients come back in at 14 weeks, but he told me not to worry about that one, but to come back at my one year anniversary. "Get on with your life", were his parting words. He spent a good 15 minutes with us.

I must admit, my knee is stiff this evening, but doesn't bother me anymore after talking to Doc. The Corvette ran great, the AC was good and cold, gas mileage was 28.2 on the trip. Temps on the way home ranged from 103 in Wichita all the way up to 111 in central Kansas and back down to 99 when we pulled into town here.

it was a good day, but I'm glad to be home.
