Good morning gents. Got home late last night from my florida trip, but I am up now, and gonna get the vette ready for a proper beating. Going to Beaver Springs Dragway to see Bob Motz's Jet Truck, and race the wheels of the old 87. Should be a good time. Anyone in the area should stop by. It is always a great night.

Good Morning Gurus, PeteK too!

Pete you must have left Carlisle and headed right to Florida!! BTW, Nice meeting you. Also, I drove the Vette into work today. First day since I thought it was leaking trans fluid. Not a sign of leakage or smoke today, even after a 40 minute drive in morning DC traffic. Who knows? I just need to pull that damn transmission and do it!

Anyone got any special plans for the Labor Day weekend?

I was hoping to find some car related gigs around, but I don't see anything local.

Nice to meet you too, Don. If you were lucky, the front seal of the trans dumped fluid from sitting. Gravity can squeeze a pichch of fluid past the seal lip, and a siphon effect can pull all of the top half of the converter dry. Or,
they might have been a hiccup that caused it to push out of the vent. Keep your eye on it, but drive it. You may be fine. You are right. Drove home from Carlisle sunday night, relaxed monday, flew to tampa tuesday, drove to miami wednesday night, and flew home thursday evening. Normal week for me.

Happy Friday, all! I'm off work today, making it a long weekend. So I expect the Honey-Do list to materialize any minute. It has been a gorgeous stretch of weather here this week, and it sounds like it will last all the way through the weekend. Hope to spend some quality time in the Vette.

Since the State Fair is going on, they were talking about this on the radio this morning - LMAO:

GM CGs!

Well, the rugrat decided to have a scream fest to test out our hearing and, well, it works. So I'm up about a half hour earlier than I'd like. Such is life.

Plan on getting in a killer workout and maybe putzting around the house. I did get the headlight fixed on the vette yesterday, seems the socket just pulled away from the bulb. Cleaned it up a big, some dielectric grease, and reconnected. All is well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning Gurus, finally feel better today. My wife says that
the U.S. doesn't have a long weekend on Labour Day and I said that you do; who is right?

Good Morning gurus.
I have today off work. It's nice to have a long weekend. I got some grocery shopping to do and pickup a package from the post office. New parts for the truck. I'm getting excited the wife is flying in tomorrow morning and I can't wait to see her. It's been since fourth of July since I saw her last. Well I hope you all have a great guru holiday.

Was hoping to get my Banski pieces installed this weekend.

Not it looks like I'm installing a bathroom sink this weekend.

Good Morning Gurus!

Yes there is a long weekend, Jim. Unless you own your own business, or something like that. But I'm sure the banks are closed, and there will be no mail.

You WIN!

I'd be totally lost if I didn't have an occasional long weekend.

Hey Pete K. If you or any of you guys for that matter, are in Miami or the Florida Keys, give me a shout if you want some company for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I'm only a short drive away.
