Good Morning CGs!

Well, we saw the first real snow of the season last night. Went out to dinner with the wife and rugrat and it started coming down. Not too much accumulation, just a few spotty areas left on the grass. Sun should take care of that later. Nice to have a bit of snow for the kids around Xmas. Me, I could care less. The less I have to shovel the better.

We're taking the rugrat to a winter wonderland event at the village tonight. She should have fun. After that she goes to Grandma's and the wifey and I are off for a weekend getaway. Got a couple free hotel nights so we're gonna use them. If I'm not on as often that's why. I'll try to bring my laptop but no guarantee they'll have wireless.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

'Moanin!

Happy Friday! Man, it's cold already to me, and we haven't even seen any snow! Looks like we'll have a snow event next week, so I'm going to go get a sled for the baby so we can get out and play! The back yard is sloped nicely, so it should be fun (as long as I can get stopped before I hit the fence, that is!!!)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Have fun on the weekend getaway Matthew! Man, those are a fading memory for me!

Only working a half day, today. Going to Denver to visit for the weekend. It has already snowed a few times there, and was snowing yesterday.

It's been nice here, good driving weather.
We're supposed to get snow on Monday, guess it'll be time to take a swim.

Ha, skiers and crutches go together.
One of my favorie places, High Camp at Squaw Valley. You can swim for a while the ski for a while and get a suntan at the same time.
450 inches of snow per year, 117 different ski runs, 33 chair lifts and this:

Yea, it's a real bitch livin' here.

Down at the other end of the lake, Kirkwood ski resort gets 650 inches of snow a year, Heavenly Valley has 25+ lifts and 23 square miles of sking area.

Squaw Valley is a 30 minute drive from the house, ski, swim and come down to the house and ride dirtikes in the afternoon.

It' a blast, the only thing that makes me put up with winter weather
And standing on the ridge at the top of Squaw (9,060 feet) is mindblowing. Nice view of the lake.

Moanin...is right. It was 4* this morning, 6* when I left for school. Man that's cold for this time of year. Those are some awesome pictures there Bill, kind of reminds me of Western Kansas, except for the mountains.....and lake.....and trees.....and people......OK I guess it's nothing like Western Kansas.

Hey, Bill, my cousin is a *huge* avid skiier. Takes a few big ski trips a year. We're coming to your house next time.

Race cars one day, ski trip the next. Sounds like fun to me.

Come on down!
I'm not an avid skier and only do a few expert runs, the double black diamonds here will make you wet your pants.

The guys with big balls and big bucks helicoptor ski here. I don't, tooooooo much wilderness, aka Donner Party.
