is it just me or are most off topic threads here all copied and pasted from CF?

Yep, this site is a copy of CF except for a few minor differences:

- Here you can pretty much say what you want. You can even call moderators names, and not get booted. Over there... if you even hint that a moderator is not a living god, you're gone.

- Here you can get real, good advice, on more than just cars. There, you can get lots of sarcasm, ridicule, and suspect advice. But over there, you get more of it.

- Here, there aren't any trolls. Trolls don't seem to last or like it here. There... trolls abounding!

- Here the guys are likable. There, a few are likable, but see the comment about trolls.

Other than that, these two sites are just the same!

Ron, If anybody would know, you would.

I pull some of the good stuff and whatever BrianCunningham digs up, and he digs up a lot.

I rarely post anything from CF here. I skim the posts there but mostly topics we have read about a billion times. Some I find usefull but otherwise its tiring. I feel like I can hang out here at the Guru without everyone trying to one-up the other person. However, I liked Mike Weaver's thread over at CF on his latest runs at the track. He laid down some great ETs in that thread.

I haven't been over to that "other" site in a long time. This forum seems to be more of a closer group and really cares about your questions and won't rake you over the coals for a "stupid" question.

Remember one of the fine points of this site is you are not limited as to where you find information like some of the other places we know. Sharing resources, although CF is not something we like to mirror. Right Brian?

I'd rather see those CF topics posted here than not at all.

How about this thread?
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/autoc ... your-lug-nut-springs.html
froggy47;

I have had several of these wear out recently. They are oem bought from my Chevy dealer about 3 years ago near as I can tell.

They fail when I go to torque them down. Torque wrench just keeps turning.

Studs appear fine, I can put a new lug nut on and torque it down on the same stud.

Studs are stock.

Of course this is not a spring stuck into a lug nut, it's the thread in the lug nut peeling away or stripping out.

Anyone got a link to a decent lug nut vendor, not interested in color/anodized/engraved yadayada. Just something open & strong and FULLY THREADED so I can get a little more engagement.

I change wheels several times a month so they get heavy use.

Thanks.
