Drive the 67 today bout 3 miles or so

Wow.....dont know what to say was kinda nervous actually.

Drives like a brand new car off the lot, turns quick stops well and ....its LOUD when you give it any gas at all. Same exhaust I had on the last motor and it seemed so much quieter on it guess this one moves a little more air.

Gotta button up a few minor details then take it out again.

Front end still needs to come up a touch that will be next.

Damn this thing sounds good!

Gotta get up in 4 hrs for work, been up for 20 hrs and dont even care lol.

Needs a couple odds and ends that can be done anytime.
I have no idea how Ill be able to wait before standing on this thing its hard....lol

Ill get some good pics and vid in a couple days when I have time off.

That's awesome. The culmination of a lot of time, hard work, and money (and a little cursing along the way).

Congrats!

Honestly Id never do it again (frame off) it was so mentally and financially exhausting....been ready to give up and part it out a million times just couldnt do it.
Done everything 2-3 times over due to bad parts, crappy labor or getting ripped off period but thats the way it goes.

Will always need something which is usually fun stuff, nickel and dime thats the fun part.

Just hoping theres no driveline vibes at higher speeds nothing major. Rest can be done here and there.

New car without the payment is the way I see it..and no computer controls

Wow.... didn't even realize you had a 67.... looks like a chevelle. One of the first hotrods I ever rode in was a childhood friend who had a high winding Chevy 302 in it... was in a lightened up 67..... I was young and impressed.

Congrats !

Kinda...think the clutch has to come back out has a slight vibration about 2k. Betting the PP wasnt clocked on the FW right. Had some weight removed from teh back of it and assuming when balanced he used the greasepen marks that centerforce did but see nothing. It was done yrs ago so he doesnt remember. Ill be fn pissed if this has to come out again.
Ill spend more time in it weds to make sure. @#@%
Always something but thats what happens when you screw with stuff I guess.

Ron congrats on the test drive.

10yrs... WOW! I knew you had been working towards this for a long time but I didn't know it was quite that long.

Very cool that thru everything you stuck with it and can now see the end of the tunnel.

Still dealing with a finicky carb, slowly getting it leaned out..About 6-7 miles on it so far just looking and listening for problems. Overall cant find much wrong other than just little stuff dont want to jinx myself though.
Going to recheck valve lash once more change the oil again and go for broke lol.
Still gotta put emblems some trim on etc. Little sheit
pleased overall drives like a brand new car, not a freshened up old one.

Just a short put on the primaries part throttle.
