Well, the holiday is now history. We can all clean up and move on. New Years Eve and day becomes the next priority. What are you doing New Years Eve? I don't have a clue what we'll do. Dinner at the casino last night was excellent. The buffet for the three of us came in just under $60. It was truly a steal of a deal. The types of food and the quality were outstanding. The wife came out ahead at the poker table, I lost at slots. I really should stick to poker. I do much better when I have some control of my bet. We enjoyed the company of some old friends visiting from out of town and staying at the resort.
Expecting a cold front to start blowing through today. Same drill as last time. The farmers fields are showing the effects of the last front. Some farmers took a real bad hit. The wifes recent media exposure resulted in some additional sales. She wears a shirt with the company name imprinted on them. People walk up to her and say, I saw you on TV, or I saw you in the paper. She's eating it up. Hope everybody has a great day. Stuff those trash cans.

"I lost at slots". Me 2 but had a great cruise in the 92.

New Years Eve? I'll do my usual, ignore it.
I never make resolutions cause I know I'm a lying bastard when it comes to making promises to myself.

Howdy! Yeah, I never make New Years resolutions. We may get together with some friends on New Year's Eve and do up some crab legs. Or we may do nothing, particularly if we get hammered with snow again like they're predicting.

Enjoy your day, all!

I see the Iggles-Viqueens game has been postponed until Tuesday night, so it must be icky out there. Mojo to all in the path of the white stuff.

I just found this, will have to keep it handy for future reference:

Good Afternoon CGs!

Well I spent much of the morning cleaning around the house and putting together Christmas items, etc. I decided to finally open a Christmas present from about 3 years ago that's been sitting on the shelf...some digital photo frame. Spent an hour loading photos from the computer only to find out it doesn't work. Sitting on the shelf too long and the internal battery won't work. Seriously. I'm miffed. Looks like more garbage.

Later this evening we are taking the outlaws to dinner for their 30th wedding anniversary. Just a local semi-casual type Italian place. Good food and decent prices. My wife really likes it there so it should be a nice time. I've already decided I'm drinking a bottle of wine. By myself. Lots of stress lately and I need a break from reality

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

PS - Brad, great gif!

There are always a few things you can do at home that don't cost any money.

I won my 1st on-line Poker tournament..... been to many final tables, but never finished, until this past week. Wasn't a big tournament with only 292 players. But, a victory is sweet.... got 3rd last night in another, should of been 1st or 2nd but made a mental mistake late.

Where do you play? Full Tilt? Poker Stars? Wouldn't be great if Mike the Mouth choked on a poker chip.

I primarily only play Full Tilt at this time.... I like their software interface, I think its better than Pokerstars. But, I have an account at both.

Mike the Mouth is entertaining....as is a lot of the Pro's personalities. In his case, he's in the same boat as Phil Hellmuth.... spoiled little brat club. ..... but entertaining never the less.

I'd love to play on the same table as either... I have with other Pro's, but I have never seen either of those on-line.

Both those guys bug me but when your playing it's best to block out any distractions or become a distraction yourself.

Yeap, I agree. This is why I never partake in any jabbering at FTP in the chat window during the tournament other than to say something like thank you if somebody says good hand or whatever. I have been called a lot of names by people, typically right after you took a pot from them. I just ignore them and stay focused on what I am trying to do.

Fun sport once you figure out how to play it.

Yeap, many feel the same thing. His superiority complex coupled with just plain old poor loser syndrome has left a lot of people saying the same thing. He is "truly" a whiney brat.

Hey gurus.....After nearly two days I have found an internet connection. We have had a pretty good two days. Nothing planned for NYE. I try to ignore it. Too many amateurs out, and it's really dangerous. Tomorrow I am going to see an old friend, his mom still lives in town and is home for the holidays (like we are). About the only time we have a chance to see one another is over Christmas.

I can put up the Mouth and the rest but..

The worst was his self promo at Sears Point (Infineon) where he rented someone's stockcar and drove it around the paddock (they wouldn't even let him on the track ). He drove it into one of the light poles there (I'll bet on purpose).
Then he wore the Simpson driving suit to tournaments for the next year. Dork.

I'm interested in this new sport. How many calories do you burn throwing those cards? Do you know the weight of them? Is is more of a tricep, bicep, or deltoid workout? How do you stay in your target HR zone?
