I need a new plug that goes on the brake master cylinder. Mine is F'd. It's the one with only one wire going to it, Black/red wire plugs into the white sensor on the master.

Any ideas? I would try calling the Chevy garage here but they aren't that sharp and I would spend an hour on the phone trying to explain what I'm looking for. I looked on MAM and Zip websites with no luck.

RockAuto is a Registered Vendor here...

We get discount codes from them from time to time. Check the RockAuto sticky in Corvette Chat.

I have a rather nice collection of their magnets that they send in each box.

Didn't get a chance to call Chris yesterday.

Is it a unique part to the Corvette? If not, maybe a U-pull-it yard would have another GM car with the same.

I just posted a WTB thread over there.

If they hadn't molded the rubber around the wire I would be able to kind of fix it.

Maybe you could mold a new piece? This stuff works well for a lot of repairs:

The center piece is actually rubber but it seems like it's sealed or molded to the wire.

Is the rubber part boogered up, or just the plastic around it?

Andy... I have tried for a week to get a discount code for Rock Auto. I searched Google and put at least 15 codes into my shopping cart with no luck. I also PM RockAuto from here yesterday and haven't heard from them yet.

I have an order to place for motor mounts and some other stuff needed to install my engine. If you could grease the skids on a discount code that would be cool. I really need to place this order yesterday and the code would help with the shipping since they charge separate ship charges for every part if they are being drop shipped by sub-shippers. My shipping charge was nearly $40 for six items. Any discount helps

Thread jacker! Just kidding Don, did you try the one that I posted in the Rockauto thread?

Quote:

pianoguy wrote:

The metal barrels came out.. it's hard to explain without pictures. But up in that connector there are 2 round metal female connectors that slide over the male connectors on the white level sensor. Both of the female pieces of mine remain on the males which means that the wire that's supposed to be attached to one of them is no longer.

I'm thinking that I will cut the wire off close to the rubber and then dig out the hole, shove the cut end through and try to solder the wire fast to the female...not sure when I'll have time but one day..

Try this place out.

They may have the connector but not labeled as such. They carry the weather pack connectors.

that site is awesome too. They don't seem to have the one that I'm looking for but I could have saved like $20 on MAP, IAC, TPS, temp sensor connectors that I bought of Ebay.

Sorry for the thread hijack.... crap, I hate when that happens!!

Ray... My Bad.... That code worked fine. I was entering the code into field for "discounts" Dah! I then saw the message at the top of the screen that said to enter it into the box that asks "Where did you here about RockAuto?"

Once again sorry for the topic detour.
