Good Morning CGs!

Happy Saturday to all. Hope you can enjoy your weekends. It's already started off rainy here, so I'm sure the legions of weekend yard warriors won't be pleased with that. Lots of grass cutting tomorrow, I'm sure. I'm almost ready to start opening up the pool. We still have to pour the new concrete slab on the one side, so once that's done I'm in business. The pump and filter will sit there, so I can't do anything until that's up. Neighbor wanted to do it today, but I'm working and the weather sucks, so no go. Hopefully soon.

I wanted to drive the vette today but crappy weather prevents that. Maybe tomorrow. I need to get my fix. Looks like gas prices dropped a few cents yesterday, so there is a ray of light.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Good Saturday morning! Got the mowing done yesterday with a little help from the hired man. He was sitting around waiting on a farmer while I was on another run and just jumped on the mower and finished what I had started. Atta Boy! I gave him a little bonus money for the weekend. I was impressed.

Graduation today over west in a small village. My nephew is graduating from High School. Weather looks clear and warm so I will take the Vette over. I had the exhaust system checked out yesterday for any leaks or things that needed tightened. The shifter has never been quite right and that seems to work easier now.

Pappy is around and has had some posts on a new hot rod he bought recently. Blondie has dissapeared along with Dads90 and others. I might have missed the announcements that something bad happened but that is all I know.

Matt did you put in a pool? Pics? Have a good one today and hey, hey, lets be careful out there!

Forgot to mention it's my 28th anaversary today and yeah I completly forgot it. Nuts! Completly got by me......I am dirt!

Good Morning All!

Sun is shining here this morning. Kathie had a good surgery yesterday, a bit sore this morning as to be expected. Unfortunately we did not get a lot of information yesterday except the surgeon told me that everything went great. We still have to wait on Pathology to make sure the coast is clear. Radiation treatments may not start for another month... it sucks dragging this thing out.

VetteBlondie is around on FB... I read her posts there often, they can be inspirational for a secular bum like me. She had another accident with the Vette. Nothing too serious but she had the whole hood repainted again and it looks pretty good. I gave her a shout and told her to stop by to say hello.

Have a good day folks

Well Don, I'm glad the parts you DO know about are good news. Does suck how things are dragging out. That's gotta wear you down.

I sure hope everything works out in the best possible way.

Thanks for the info on the troops, guys.

Hidey-ho! Looks like I'm gonna get to power-wash the deck today. Plenty of other stuff on the list, too. Marcus, you'd better pull a rabbit out of the hat! Don, hope they can give you good news soon. I need to get cracking on my chores.

Have a great weekend!

I sat here this morning staring at a pile of cement board laying on the kitchen floor and debated should I start on that of put oxygen sensors in the C4.

The C4 won but it only took 45 minutes so back to the debate, kitchen floor or drive the C4.

Once a Guru always a Guru. Many take sabbaticals but their return here is almost always welcome. (There's always one or two I'd never miss). The cruise was fantastic. I did in fact think of y'all on several occasions. My wife managed to slip in a slam about my computer time. I even had her take a special picture that I will share with youz later. A week away was just about right. There was no shortage of food, sightseeing, fun, gambling, entertainment, etc. I managed to catch a couple of nice hits on the slots. Won over $2000. Spent over $3000 doing it. The card jockeys got to share some of my loot as well. Oh well, can't win if you don't play. I hit the bed by midnight most nights. My wife closed the casino more than a couple of times. That's her thing. A couple of the dealers knew her from our cruise on The Legend 6 months ago. They told the pit boss she really liked to play. They called her by name from the first deal. She had fun. (That means she lost money too) I'll post up some pics when I get readjusted and add a few of Tommy's Travel Tips. Good to be back home ...........

Welcome back, Tommy!

Action-packed day here. Got the Vette put back together (problem not solved). Got the sprinkler system up and running, then power-washed the deck - what a mess. Got the Maxima washed, now heading out to dinner with friends and on to see Lewis Black tonight.

*edit* Tip for gurus - do NOT power-wash your toes.

Welcome back, Thomas.

Brad - ouch! I did that to my hand once in the self car wash and power washed the skin off my hand.

Marcus - we bought the house with the pool. We are extending the deck we already have to make it more useable.

I slammed in 2 oxygen sensors today and I think my codes and check engine light are gone.
If so, it was a cheap fix, $36 for a pair.

Welcome back T.

Evening guys.....I've been really busy the last two days. Yesterday at school we had spring fling and the big track meet. Today I got up and our mens group from church has a two mile stretch of US Highway 50 that we pick up trash on twice a year, today was the spring cleaning. Took about two and a half hours with 12 guys. Just got back from church, it took a while tonight. The wife and I went for a bike ride after church as well.

Welcome back Tommy, sounds like you had fun. Brad, I know what that feels like, not good. Take care, man. No turkey's huh? Well maybe next year. Ron, yea, what about those SEALS? Don, good news so far on Kathie, we hold out for the best. Bill, I'd vote for the ride.....which by this time, I'm pretty sure that you've done. The tile will be there tomorrow. Chris I think that you already heard about those two MIAs. Haven't heard from them in a while. Matt, that pool looks pretty inviting, it was 90 here today and they are calling for low-mid 90's tomorrow and upper 90's to maybe 100 on Monday.

Butt's dragging guys, I'll check in in the morning.

Matt, I'd like to put one in just like that!! Looks very inviting indeed!

No work done on the Vette today. I spent about 12 hours working on club business for the upcoming show and Autocross! My Corvette Buds are getting ready to head to Watkins Glen for three days while I sit here on my ass! That sucks! Oh well maybe another time!
