Good morning all.
The alarm bird got me up at 06:30 sharp. Don't have a plan yet for today but I know we'll be doing something. The wife will be bouncin off the walls if we don't. Maybe I'll take her shopping. I can always sit in the car and play with a loaded revolver while we go from store to store. Enjoy the day. There will be only one day like today. Use it wisely.

Makes sense, the revolver part anyway. I have a strict time limit on shopping....20 minutes....per year.

I had a choice this morning, go back to sleep or get up and watch Formula 1 live.

Good Morning CGs!

Read yesterday's chat to catch up and it seems everyone has been busy!

We got spanked at the casino yesterday afternoon. I guess Bill's luck didn't wear off on me. But we had a nice buffet and then got some shopping done. It was a nice excursion just the two of us. After that we stopped at the neighbor's house for bbq. They talked for a bit in some funny language I didn't understand and I drank beer. Of course Janusz (neighbor) kept feeding me more when I was saying no, I have to leave. So eventually I just had to get up and go. I feel ok this morning, so I'm glad I left when I did!

Today has been deemed project day by the wife, so that's what I'll be doing all day. Projects I'm not interested in. Oh well, they have to be done.

Tommy - just don't play Russian roulette with the revolver

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Too bad.
Mine wore off too. Dropped $40 quickly 2 days in a row so it's back to nickels for a while.

Yesterday was my project day. I got a good part of the front shrub beds mulched. Organized and swept out the garage after pulling the Vette out. (Its so nice just to be able to see it on the ground again). The wife planted some flowers out front and I stood around and supported her with a cold beer and the watering hose!

As stated the car is on the ground and running. It will drive but has some issues which Mick is helping me work out. I'm going to make the changes that Mick has suggested as well as get a FP gauge to see what its delivering. I'm also considering sending the car out to Sport Chevrolet on Wednesday to get the AC system recharged, and to test out the AC compressor that Tyler sent me.

While its there, I could have Frank, their Corvette Guru take a stab at getting the IAC and TB set if I don't have it worked out before then. I should take advantage of this because I can get the car towed there for free and they will do the work Gratis since I have busted my ass for the Car Show that is next weekend there. (I'll see)

Ahh Shrimp Feast today! Food Beer & Wine! Corvettes and more Corvettes! I have about five or six folks from the Corvette Club meeting here at my house at noon, and then we will all drive down together. It would be nice if mine was accompanying them... Oh Well

I hope you all have a great day... but I should be rolling, lots to do before I have company!

Free tow? Free work on the car? Run, don't walk. That's as good as hitting a few hundred bucks on the slots.

Greetings Gurus!

Reading your posts makes me tired.... YOU MUST CHILL! ;)

Been trying to acclimate to Pennsylvania. My bestest buddy is here, so that's good.

But I was getting used to hanging out with some really attractive women back in Colorado. And my friend is neither attractive, nor female...

Time to make some new friends, I guess!

The job search begins in earnest on Tuesday, though I have already laid some ground work.

Yesterday, my buddy and I were hanging out in his garage, when a burgundy Viper coupe slid sideways by the end of his driveway and collected a light post in the parking lot of the gas station across the street. He jumped a curb in the process. The dude and his wife were alright.

Front suspension is toast. Guessing the oil pan and neighboring bits are destroyed. Both front wheels and one rear were bent badly. Hood and driver's side fender are toast. It was surreal...

Like "Dude that's a Vi....Holy SHIT IT'S SIDEWAY.... Uh oh...."

Hope the guy has good insurance... I feel bad for him. Didn't hear him revving it up before the accident. So I don't think he was hot-dogging or anything.

Not sure what excitement awaits me today.

Stay happy and healthy, Gurus!

Good morning everybody! Cool and cloudy but almost 80 by mid afternoon. Don you should have got a loaner from the dealer......like a new ZR1 or something.

I am sore today after a full day of working on the yard. It takes a lot of work to get the place in shape but it looks good after we are done. Of course we are never done it seems.....always something to fix or change. My wife is in charge of those decisons. If not for her I would probably live in the corner of my shop and sleep on an old couch serrounded by car and bike mags and old pizza boxes...........hmmmmmm maybe it's better this way.

Indy 500 today.....I used to get pumped up for it back in the day but now I am not all that excited. I like the racing with the Corvette team in the GT bracket. I have something to identify with there.

Gotta go, have a good easy day Guru's!

Those Vipers are notorious for getting sideways. Must be a design flaw. Couldn't possibly be inexperienced drivers going too fast too furious.

Good morning, all!

Watched some of Monaco this morning, watching Indy pre-game now, will watch the World 600 tonight. Pretty much glued to the tube ...

Bill, sorry your luck has temporarily left you.

Chris, I think you'll be able to adjust to my state - it has its quirks, but it sure has its positives. Where are you located?

I'm in Campbelltown. Just outside Hershey.

Lived in PA from 69-96, so just re-adjusting to humidity.

Greetings! I slept in real good today after being quite aggravated yesterday. The deck-stripping experiment failed - we are now gonna tear off the decking and railings and start over. Top choices so far are tigerwood decking and aluminum railings. Not much on the agenda today, going to head out to the cemetery whenever it looks like it isn't raining. I should get around to washing the Vette to take some pics for the car show, too.

Chris, hopefully if Bill's luck had to land somewhere, it will wind up helping your job hunt.

Have a good day, all!

hot and humid here too, hoping to be in a friend's pool in a while with a cold drink. Had a surprise birthday dinner Friday night with cake and what not afterwards at one of their "VERY" nice homes, next morning drove to Bull Shoals lake for another dinner and got a very nice gift... an 18v Skil drill and light combo. Back home today, made a wreath for a memorial service for the purple heart bunch here, we'll see what tomorrow brings....
have safe holiday all..

Greetings gurus....We had an early tee time, so I just got back, took a shower and then headed down to the festivities. There are lots of people here for the reunion. The population of the little town has probably quadrupled today. People we haven't seen in 25-30 years...some of them look pretty old. I'm glad I haven't changed any, but their mminds aren't as good because I have to tell a lot of them who I am.....

Well, I'm headed back down, it warmed up here, mid 90's.

Later......

Got the new engine in today and fired it up. Felt kind of strange driving it again. I have some issues that I will be worrying Mick about. I have to hook up the laptop and see whats going on.

I might get to wash it tomorrow.. We will see.

Congrats on getting your engine in already, Jeff!

Happy belated birthday, Letty!

Tom, I haven't changed a bit, either, but there's some old bastard inhabiting my mirror.

Finally got some time to get the Vette washed and waxed tonight. Too dark to see what I missed, so I'll finish up in the morning. Looks like I should be able to snap a couple photos tomorrow for the virtual car show.
