Good morning.
Here's something to think about.

Should we ban dihydrogen monoxide?
Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Dihydrogen monoxide:
is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
contributes to the “greenhouse effect.”
may cause severe burns.
contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.
Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!
Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
as an industrial solvent and coolant.
in nuclear power plants.
in the production of styrofoam.
as a fire retardant.
in many forms of cruel animal research.
in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
as an additive in certain “junk-foods” and other food products.
Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

Yep water. Plain ol' H2O. Dihydrogen monoxide.

Good Morning CGs!

I'm a bit tired. Got home late from the wedding last night and then I stayed up and watched tv until 2:30 am Wedding was nice, between 500-600 people, I don't know the exact number. Appetizers were yummy, dinner was ok. Saw some family we don't always get to from out of town. Alcohol was free flowing like all Polish weddings. Samantha had a ball dancing around. Seems like all had a good time, including one girl I saw being carried out by her husband

Tommy - it's funny how you can throw in a few technical words and frame an issue. I bet if you posted that on facebook as a cause you'd have 20,000 card carrying members in a week!

Not sure what the plans are today. Corvette show at one of the local dealers, maybe I'll stop by. Not sure.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

It's raining this morning but it's supposed to quit soon.
I hope it does, the police are putting on a show & shine, "Cops and Burgers" to benefit the Special Olympics and I hope they get a good turnout.

Good Morning! Just got back from making coffee at the church this morning. Can't have a grumpy choir. Drove the Corvette and it was a great morning to cruise slow with the windows down. Went by some hay fields that had been cut and that added to the ride.

My laptop in the house crashed yesterday. I was on Guru and had just opened the flying lizard post when I got a pop up that my AVG had detected a trojan virus and had blocked it. 3 minutes later my hard drive is crashing and everything is a mess. I will take it in Monday and see if they can defrag it or what ever they do. I hope they can save what was on the drive. Not blaming Guru at all I just hope no one else had a problem.....

Got baseball again today. Lost by one run yesterday. Nuts! What is harder to play then baseball? So many skills needed and it is such a game of failure. I love it so!

Have a good day off Guru's. Funny Tommy, when you started that out I was wondering where you were going with it.

Love my new mufflers. I highly recommend them. Cheap, great sound and NO DRONE!

Greetings! Jeeez, that is a big wedding, Matt! I don't know 500-600 people - must've cost an arm and a leg. Sounds like quite the shindig.

Another hot, sunny day on tap, gonna go head out and do some painting in a bit. Sunscreen would probably be a good idea if I don't forget. And plenty of dihydrogen monoxide.

Have a good one!

Good afternoon guys. Haven't had a chance to post much. Busyyyyy! I'm leaving in 30 minutes to give the commencement address for the class of 011. I watched a few addresses on line and you tube to come up with the "message". Getting up in front people was never a problem its the clarity of the message...hum could be interesting. Last week was retirement receptions and dinners. Damn you would think somebody died or something. The wood shop is offically closed and construction of 4 new class rooms begins Monday. End of an era on so many levels. Oh I must have had a memory lapse over 40 years of doing this "all of our students are going to college don't ya know". Guys gotta hit it approx. 1500 people waiting to hear my words of wisdom,(yea right ) Hope those burritos I ate last night doesnt rear a fart fest!!!

Huge wedding! I dont' know that many people either but with free-flowing booze I guess it either wouldn't take long or wouldn't matter much
I need to rearrange the house today. It's a week long job and I don't even want to start. Also, Id fix a really nice dinner and share my home made spiked bourbon lemonade with some nice person who will come and remove my starter from the vette for me....
just sayin'...

Todays nightmare. I have a BBQ grill that is 3 1/2 years old. When my wife bought it she took out a 4 year protection plan. When I called to make a claim, they said we had the wrong plan and BBQ's didn't have a protection plan till Jan of 2009. They sold us an outdoor electrical equiptment plan. Great! Went back to the retailer and they refunded the original plan and gave us a Grill plan. Called back to make the claim. No good she said. Plans were not available when you bought the grill. Go back and deal with the retailer. Here's where it gets shocking .... Customer service and the store manager at the retailler said: It was our error and you've been through enough. Bring back the grill we'll give you a full refund and you can get another grill of similar value.
(mouth dropped). We wasted no time. Returned to the house, loaded up the grill and returned pronto. They gave us full refund even foregoing an original 10% discount on the grill and protection plan plus the original sales tax. We were now ahead of where we started. We told the service counter they gave us too much. They said It's OK It's alright. We went back, found a higher priced grill of better quality and build, paid the difference took out another 4 year protection plan. So basicly we got to use a grill for 3 1/2 years, We got a refund that paid 2/3rd of a better quality grill and now we have 4 years of worry free BBQing ahead. I feel almost as lucky as BillH at the casino.

Helluva deal, Tommy - most unusual these days!

My son saw these red lights here last night - apparently they've been all over the world for the last several years. Wacky!

Geez somebody cue the Twilight Zone music....

It was hotter then the hubs of hell today and more coming tomorrow looks like. Must be summer.

My kids team won a ball game finally. He made three good stops at 3rd and made the throw to first for the outs. He did get picked off second though.....have to work on that.

I looked at the C5 today. Very nice all the bells and whistles. Interior wasn't as nice as I expected but would clean up ok. My C4 was setting next to it and in my opinion did not have to hang it's head at all. We will wait and see down the road what happens. My C4 is very nice and I have a plan for it and that is my project for now. In fact I think I am going for a drive......

Sounds like the aggravation was worth it, Tommy.

Had a busy day of errands, yet none of my errands got done. How does that work again? I dunno. My wife promises I get Tuesday to myself to work on my projects. We'll see.

Evening guys....Matt we you at the same wedding as me? That is a very good description of the wedding I attended. 500 or so people, lots of alcohol flowing. I was up until about 3...But I got up at 7:15 to go to church and then an hours drive to a mens group gathering. I just got home about an hour ago. My head hurts and I'm dead tired. I'll check in, in the morning.

Weddings, a young childs'birthday party, 500 to 600 of your closest friends. ..... Not me . Better they save 1/2 the cost of the wedding for the 50% chance of divorce. It's just a 50/50 proposition. Thousands for a kids birthday that they'll never remember. Nope ....... Cake and ice cream .... Everybody sing Happy Birthday and get the hell outa here ................ Now Christmas ..... Don't get me started on Christmas ....... Games .... You want games? Here you go .... A football, a basketball and a softball. Go have some fun kid.
