Thought for the day. Whether you take a s#!+ or leave one makes no difference to me because I don't give a s#!+.

Beautiful morning here before the sun comes up. Cool and refreshing but you can still wear shorts.(optional) I oiled down the counter top twice. I'll hit it a couple more times today too. Have some shelves to prep and install. Little bit of sanding, coating, and mount the wall brackets and shelf supports. That'll be the major task for today. Waiting for the shed guy. He is supposed to be here first thing in the morning. I want him to tie down my shed to code. Then whatever I find to do I'll do. (No shortage of things there)
Have a great day gurus. Do the things you can do while you're alive. They'll be pretty difficult to do when your dead.

Good Morning CGs!

So I don't think I mentioned the other day what my wife did. Against my constant warnings, she brought home a pet for my daughter. A baby rabbit from the county fairgrounds. I wasn't too happy when I found out. Not that I'm opposed to animals, I love them. That's the point. We don't have the time to care for an animal properly. Also, the responsibility will fall on me, of course. So we've had it since Sunday. I've been arguing with my wife where to keep it since then. She wants to keep it in the garage (heated/attached) and I want to keep it inside, like a real pet. I think the kids will play with it more if it's inside and visible. And I found out you have to play with the rabbit daily so that it is docile and friendly, otherwise it can be aggressive. So does anyone else have a rabbit? Any tips?

Other than that looking forward to dinner tonight with a few corvette guys from around here. Should be fun.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

a potbellied pig (wife brought home)

7 cats (wife) (6 strays at the nursery, one rescued from a busy street and at home)

2 dogs (abandoned strays, wife brought them home, we both love them)

9 redfooted tortoises (wife again)

4 birds (3 wife got, one I found that fell out of a nest at the nursery)

No rabbits though.

Good morning guys...Rabbit? They are pretty tasty if you prepare it right. It's Weds and thank God, the middle schoolers have been total terrors this week. I have a meeting this evening.

Got to go, I'll check in later.

IMO- in the garage, the kids will become bored with it in a couple months and it will be just another castoff toy on the garage shelf.

Howdy! Wasting another nice day here, gonna be 85 and sunny. Maybe I'll wash the Vette when I get home, gonna put it away within the next week. I haven't been driving it anyway.

Have a good day, all!

I think it's interesting you put those two together, am I the only one who noticed he did that?
Nice day here again and I'm stuck inside. Come to work during the day, go home at night and work some more. Almost done with the local newspaper's Pet Calendar. The funds raised went to the local Humane Society, about $10 grand. Pretty impressive. I'm also starting a Veteran's Memorial Book for another paper due in the middle of the month.
I think I need a vacation.

It may be snowing at Donner Pass, but it's raining its ass off in L.A.

The temps are lowish and the rain is pretty heavy - tho it seems to have eased off a bit in recent minutes.

It feels like autumn out there... seriously. Leaves on the streets, everything damp and cool. It's about 63F out, so everything feels a bit raw.

Lots of little inside projects today. We were lucky in one respect, our house was in better shape for move in than Tommy's, but, that doesn't mean there isn't a pile of things to do!

So... off too'em!

Sorry, I'm just glad it's out-o here.

Just changed oil in the C4, outside, not too bad 55 but warm sun.
Supposed to be 75 on saturday, just perfect for me to be on the racetrack.

Hey Andy! Did you have to do a full repack from the middle move or did you still have a bunch of stuff in boxes? We still have stuff to unpack. November 1st so far looks pretty good if the shed guy and the awning guy show up anytime soon. Had a load of soil dumped in the front yard today. Got some kitchen shelves up and worked on a couple of other things. The well pump to the house was replaced with a new one this morning. The other one was old and letting air in the line. The wife wanted it and she usually gets what she wants. If the wife aint happy, nobody's happy.
