Nice cool morning to kick off the day in SoFlo. Everything needs to dry out a bit after the 5+ day soaking we just went through down here. I here you've got it now up by the Great Lakes region. Today the frame goes up (supposedly) for the carport. The installers and company owner all say "This thing is huge". Pics to come when it's finished. I've been dreaming about the carport and 2 car garage for years. It's awesome when dreams become reality. The dream doesn't happen without effort. Great day to work on your dreams. Right Bill?

Morning guys...I'm up early because the wife has to go in early to go to the schools and give Flu shots to the school employees. I'm waiting on the GSs so I can go up and get mine done. I have things to get done today, so I'd better get to it.

I'll check in later.

Greetings! The Vette said the temperature was 38 as I was pulling into the parking ramp. At least it is supposed to be sunny today. Looking forward to seeing your finished parking area, Tommy! They're handing out flu shots here today, too - I'm gonna skip it as usual, last had a flu shot somewhere around 1976. I do need to get a pneumonia shot one of these days, though - I'm about 4 years overdue.

Reports out saying they got Gadhafi - finally.

Have a good day, everybody!

OH! Yea!

One of these days (very soon), you'll be in your garage playing with one of the cars and it will really hit you:
Damn, I like my garage.
My car's not out in the weather.
I can leave the windows open, leave tools on top on the engine and play with this tomorrow.

And the carport will keep the sun or rain off the other cars.

You'll be in heaven (after you're done doing house crap).

I figure if they are giving them, I should get one. Last year I had the flu, but it was a very minor case.

30* here this morning too. Supposed to be nice today, up to the low-mid 60's.

Another beautiful day in the high desert.

I'll probably head down to the shop and play with the C2.

But the C4 does need washed, has a couple of bugs on it.

Like I need more to do, got an email from Reno SCCA's Regional Executive (head dude for this area). He wants me to be the Chief Driving Instructor for Competition Licensing in Club Trials and Time Trials.
I already told him that next year will be my last as Chief of Tech, I'm tired of getting to the racetrack at 6:30 to work.

There is frost on the pumkins this morning.....here we go down that long dark tunnel.....my wife says I must embrace the season......enjoy the variety of the seasons......I understand all that, it's just that everything I enjoy doing requires nice warm weather.

More stuff to do today, some combine rides and gotta get a spot cleaned out for the Tahoe to fit in the garage....I need more garage space like Tommy's getting.

Where is Matt anyway? Big Griz has been sighted here and there.

I am inspired by Tommy this morning so I am going after that dream.......let's roll Guru's....time waits for no man!

P.S. Got my flu shot since it was free up at the school where Ultrawoman teaches......

Happy Friday Eve Folks!
Taking off tomorrow...ready for a 3 day weekend..

Nice and cool this morning..around 50 when I left the house at 5:45...

Took these photos back in Feb when I was stranded in MO after the blizzard--(the day I was scheduled to move!)
Yep, I won't be sad if we don't get any snow here this year!!

One summer pic thrown in for reference!

True ,true ,true. Changed the 5 sportscar batteries this year. Hell these cars are practicly maintenance free. Just gas em and drive. Except of course for the brakes , tires, windsheild, paint jobs, electrical connections and a host of other issues I've had resolved. 928 is still in sick bay. Not pushing for it's release but I suspect it should be done next month.

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're number one. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

Don't think this dude's been in his state for a while, we have the highest unemployment in the nation.

LOL. There was a fish down here that was known as a Jewfish. Through political correctness they changed the name to Goliath Grouper about 20 years ago. Yet there's not much they could do with names like Jewfish Creek or the Jewfish Creek Bridge.

20' x 28' carport 2 cars in the garage, 3 in the carport and the trucks fend for themselves. There is also going to be a 10 x 15 awning covering the water pump, softener and filter. I plan to cover the cars with car covers as well as park them under the awning. No plan on washing them twice a week. Once every 2 weeks.... maybe.
