Up way early today, have to go unload a semi load of soybean seed here in a bit.

March is here and I'm glad.........easy winter though. Work is picking up as the farmers are coming out of hibernation and starting to think about planting. Gonna get busy from here on out.

Time to go...have a safe day Guru's......

Ended the day on a sad note yesterday. We have decided it's time to have our pet pig of 19+ years euthanized on Monday. I set it up with the vet last evening. She gave it a good run and lived an amazingly long time for a pot bellied pig. Wifey cried several times last night. She has fussed over Candy for many, many years. The day always comes for your pets and in some cases it isn't easy. After all, you are still losing a friend and a member of the family. OK! Enough sad shit. The day is supposed to be sunny and warm. (Probably humid too) There are chores that need to be done so get off your ass and get moving.

Just want to mention because the thought keeps crossing my mind. There is a big difference between keeping busy and living. I keep confusing the two. Just because I do a lot does not constitute having a life. When we're dead and gone the stuff we cared about most will one day turn to dust.
The fact is ......

Good Morning CGs!

Kids are already up and running around like animals. I wonder how the weather will be today. They need to go outside and play.

Today I need to tinker in the garage, clean up the old exhaust and take some pictures to put it up for sale. Not sure what else.

Tommy - sorry to hear about that. Having pets for so long is like having another family member.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Morning guys...It's a really nice start off to the day. Temps are mild (going to be close to 70), light breeze and the sun is shining. I'm feeling a little better today, I think that I am going to kick this crap, finally.

Talked to the wife, they are going to let the FIL out sometime this morning, if his blood-work remains stable. He and MIL both will have Dr appointments tomorrow though, so wifey will be busy with them. I'm glad she's there.

Pets are as hard to let go of as people sometimes, part of the reason why we have never had them. But each of our girls HAD to have pets when they got out on their own. Two of the three figured out how hard it was to lose pets.

Have a great day gurus.

No offense taken Matt. We have laid down many pets in our relationship. We are on out 3rd set set of dogs.

There was Princess, Buddy and Breeze.

Then came Slinky and Vito

Now 7 y/olds Precious and Black Jack.

When they are gone there will be more.

Dogs are part of our family life. Most have lived 10 to 17 years. We'll pick up a couple of dogs that need a home when when the time comes. We seem to like two at time.

Currently our house supports 10 tortoises, 4 birds, the pig, two dogs and a cat. Ya, we love animals. They are great company. I have to keep a reign on my wife or there would be more. We have a lot if friends involved in animal rescue groups. We have learned to say " Sorry, no." Still, to see the pain and suffering of abandoned animals jerks my heart strings. One day the answer will be yes when we're asked. My wife currently supports 4 cats at the nursery and feeds a couple of stray dogs. Ya there are stray people out there too but they can go to the soup kitchen or the shelter if they want to. Urban outdoorsmen.

That's sad Tommy but like you said, she had a good run.

My bid bird will outlive me so......

All the neighborhood dogs come over to my house to hangout so I get free "pet time".

Hola! We have an exceptionally good beach waiter. He asks if we need anything, and we say we're good. So of course he brings another round and some shots. Off to downtown Puerto Vallarta for dinner tonight. Looks like we picked a good week to get out of MN with the crappy weather they had up there, but the forecast for next week keeps getting better all the time. Timing is everything ;-)

Sorry to hear about your pig, Tommy - it's always hard to lose a pet.

Adios!

Hi Gurus. Its been awhile. 012 has not been kind to childhood friends or old Navy buds. Running coast to coast to funerals. Wow! just yesterday my old high school football coach died. Thats 9 since January 14. One of my Navy Team members succumbed to his battle with cancer, believed to be from our exposure to agent orange.
Tommy I can relate to your feelings regarding pets. Our Collie is 14 and hanging in there for now! crippled hips and deaf, Rimadel keeps the pain down but as long as she seems to be enjoying life I'll keep pumping money in her.
Between funerals I've been revamping my wood shop in the garage and speaking before our school board about vocational education and what they are doing wrong! They Cancelled my Voc. Welding Class mid term to save money. Its real hard to fix stupid!
