Good Morning CGs!

Another chilly one here today. I think a high of 49? Last night there was a freeze warning so there were pictures on the news of people covering their plants. We didn't. Oh well.

I need to stop by the auto parts store and pick up a heater hose loop until I can replace the heater core. I'll get it done soon.

Been in contact with Melrose, will be ordering my replacement top soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Matthew

Greetings! Yeah, it's been down in the 20's overnight the past couple of nights, and will be again tonight. I figure Mother Nature will sort it out. It was an awfully short summer :-P

Enjoy your day, yawlz!

Cold nights have the farmers slowed down a bit also. Soil temps get to low and the seed will just sit and not germinate. Still lots to do.

I need to clean my C5 up this week...I don't mind doing it.

That's all I got...have a great day yous guys.

Good morning.
It's a pretty day. Cool and clear with blue skies and spotty clouds. It gets a little toasty mid day but all I do is think of the upcoming summer season then it doesn't feel as hot. The humdtitary has been fairly decent too. I was reading an article in the local paper on the python issue. Although I read it before this time it struck me. Apparently most of the small and midsized wildlife in the southern end of the glades (my area) are gone. Raccoons foxes, oppossums, rabbits and bobcats have answered the call of the dinner bell for these slithery reptiles. There have reports of pythons eating deer and alligator. My neighbor, a park biologist and supervisor is in charge of the snake tracking program as well as a number of other bio-related duties. He recently did a necropsy on a python and found a partially digested adult deer. This was a really big snake by the way. Their numbers are not known. They have been in the glades reproducing since the mid seventies. My understanding is this all started with the release of about 14 snakes in the wild by the snakes owner. In Florida it is unlawful to release non native animals in the wild. There is an African rat population growing in the Keys. They are combating them to keep them off the mainland. Iguanas all over, peacocks, lionfish, and tropical fish dropped into the local lakes and canals that are all chasing away or eating native fish. Then there are parrot populations all the result of intentional and unintentional realease into the environment. Don't forget the local natives. Crocs and alligators. Alligators were once protected. There are millions now. Crocs went from several hundred to several thousand. If the pythons would just eat about a million and a half alligators, then they might be serving a useful purpose.
I like South Florida or I wouldn't be here. The biodiversity is great. Don't know why I went off on an animal populations seminar this morning but I'm sure I could be bs'ing about other benign topics.

Have a great day gurus. Take a look around you today and take a minute to smell the roses, tulips or lilies today. Or in BillH's case .... the horseshit.

Cold morning here in the Buckeye State. Woke up to find about an inch of fresh snow on the ground and it was still snowing.

I miss the nice 80 degree weather we had in March.

Tommy, I have followed the Python problem for some time now. That is not a good situation at all. I guess as long as they stay away from the infield at Sebring it will be OK. If I was there and saw one, it would be shoot first, ask questions later.

Pythons not a problem here - if the cold doesn't kill them, the mosquitoes would.

The new neighbor's haven't moved their horses in yet.

I usually don't do it but maybe I'll have to throw a little around on this forum.

Speaking of spreading horseshit.

How totally irresponsable of you to show a Tommy gun and detective gun and holster set. We all know the Tommy gun was developed by the Devil himself. Gangsters (not law abiding citizens) armed themselves with these weapons. I suppose today you would be in favor of promoting a Mattel AK 47 and 9mm handgun toy gun set to further pollute our troubled youths minds.

I've been dealing with Chris via email. I have to call and make a deposit since I'm going with a minor blem top. Jeff has had one for a while and is happy. I'll try to pick it up in the next two weeks or so.

Weather here is not bad for April. Upper 50's today and light breezes.

Jalapeno sauce.......ummmmmmm good. Padded bikers shorts have been around for a while.

Got to go kids showing up.

I was thinking "Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH My", Then you guys threw in the bugs and rats.....BARF!

I needed to get caught up today. Which isn't all that much for me. Had to go down to Mom's to meet up with a handy man thats going to put in a couple of windows for her. The roof has leaked since I was a kid and they had roofs put on twice! Someone finally said to replace and cap a couple of the windows on this aging lean two. And when I got there today, I smelled oil. I thought I did before, but the heater was just replaced and I thought it might be just running rich. I went into the cellar and found the oil tank is leaking. I meet up with the oil man tomorrow. My Dad died last september and he left instructions that my (worthless) brother and I should sell the house for Mom and get her into a Senior Hi-rise in the area. She is not interested in moving at all, so I have to put bandaids on the place until she moves or passes into the great beyond. The problem is that she has her church and lifelong friends close by and she can grab a bus to the local shopping areas for free right outside the front door when I cant take her. God give me strenth. Or at leastlet me practice my guitar and zone out for a while...Later Gurus.
